That correction is right. It is not a state popular vote but a popular vote of representatives in each state. Hence "House". The count before was more than 26, closer to 29. But I'm pretty sure its the incoming House that matters not the prior one. That's why Nancy was all hysterical.

Another avenue Republicans have involves electors, having chambers in a majority of states as well, in which they could force in their own electors to vote the way they want rather than how the state voted, if the Democrat leaders want to insist on fraud and not let investigations+remedial measures into it take place, after blocking observers from ensuring a fair election process.

So I suppose if the GOP wanted to be as malevolent they could perform some tricks of their own. Should perhaps ask those who seem to want to blow up the college, blow up the courts, blow up the filibuster, blow up anything that isn't a conduit to them getting their way how they feel, so they can commence accordingly. Because if Democrats are okay with voter fraud and want to pretend it doesn't exist and not be a part of getting that wrong righted, I am absolutely okay with the GOP using those tools, along with the courts invalidating ballots or instituting a re-election in those jurisdictions. There's several avenues the GOP have, if Democrats want to make the election a joke.

Process means almost everything and power means little (power derives from legitimacy of process), but people who clearly want to abuse it don't deserve to have it.

Biden increased his margin in Arizona for the first time in 3 days. It's still going to be close. The significance of Arizona is that it would give Trump 26 states, which would give him the win if the house had to decide the presidency for some reason.

I've went over a lot already. I'm not overly optimistic or pessimistic, but I do like to go over all the possibilities. None of the weird scenarios are very likely, but they could happen. As I said, I don't think recounts will change anything, but if even 1 state changes, it's a very close electoral vote. I think 7 electors were faithless in 2016 IIRC, so once it's close anything can happen.

I think if people were a little more disturbed at the efforts of fraud, that "what if" would be as infinitesimal as it normally is. However, if you have people flat out ignoring election laws and even working to cover it up (barring observers) and/or prevent investigating it, perhaps it might be necessary. The left purely think of how they'll wield power when they have it and completely ignore the fact that the shoe winds up on the other foot too. Be thankful others are far more restrained in their response, because if this continues all bets just might be off.

Yeah, I guess I assumed they would be split roughly the same but may not be. I looked at the house map on 270 to win but it doesn't really indicate the split for the house, just the ones who were running in 2020.
