Where do you get this data from?  Can you link?

While I don't know how this user aggregated the data, all case statuses can be queried by anyone here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

For the 2021 fiscal year (which began October 1st 2020), there currently seems to be statuses available between receipt numbers WAC2190000001 through approximately WAC2190023000 although increasing in number by the day. I'm still learning about this stuff myself so would be glad to hear if anyone knows anything about this data that I have missed out, as I still don't quite get the the logic in how receipt numbers are allocated or if there are any others outside of this range.

Did he just manually type in those numbers and check their dates?  Like just guess numbers in order and see when their send in dates were?

Nov 3, 2020 - Sent I-129F

Nov 7, 2020 - USPS delivered to Dallas Lockbox

As of Dec 14, 2020, not yet received NOA1

Sort of, I used query batches to find valid receipt numbers then narrowed it down from there until I found the data I was looking for. New cases are entered numerically I'm assuming after they are inprocessed at the lockbox. I've done some searching for numbers outside this range but so far everything I've found supports I-129Fs entered numerically under the "900" identifier. Some other types of applications are entered using a julian system for the workday that fiscal year, so instead of WAC21900 you get WAC21001, 002, 003 and so on as the workdays continue, I did not find I-129F's in these searches.

At this point I'll just put the most recent case number in a spreadsheet then pull info on the cases following that to track status updates. As of 1820 central time there have been three I-129F's entered today, delivery dates from October. This is assuming they are only being entered in the number area I'm looking.

It looks like they indeed are backdating the receipt dates as they said they would in the press release. A case status added yesterday (January 15th) acknowledged a receipt date of October 29th 2020.

This could be good news if despite being delayed 2+ months in getting the receipt notice, our official receipt dates won't be. I.e. the time we are waiting right now is already counting against our case processing time from receipt date to NOA2, currently about 8 months.

This is the conclusion I've come to as well which leaves me hopeful.

Assuming an 8 month timeline, instead of NOA-1 in 1 week and NOA-2 in 7 months, 3 weeks the timeline might look more like NOA-1 in 3 months, NOA-2 in 5 months. Between what I'm seeing with the backdating on NOA-1s and the verbiage put out by USCIS I believe it's a logical conclusion.

It’s nothing but a wishful thinking. 3 months for NOA1, 8 months for NOA2 and no timeline for NVC, more like 2-3 year fiancé visa process

No way K1 becomes 2-3 year process, I think there's just a backlog that will be cleared once resources free up.

Given the long time till NOA1, I'm paranoid now that something will happen and my credit card will be "compromised" and the bank will close it and send me a new one (this happened to me one time). Because if such a thing happens, then my form cannot be processed and I have to file again. Going to keep my CC super-safe lol Probably should have sent a check instead of CC payment...

You can see a clear cut in the processing around 26-27 October. Everything before that got their NOA1 while after only a handful of people in all the months till now. While before it took around 3 weeks to get it. It's obvious that it's not a delay but a complete halt now. Not sure when they will decide to resume the processing.

There isn't quite a total standstill - all of these I-129Fs have been processed this week:

On January 12, 2021, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024009, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On October 30, 2020, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024039, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On January 19, 2021, we rejected your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024225, because it was not filed correctly. We mailed your case back to you, including any supporting materials and fee.

On October 30, 2020, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024226, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On October 30, 2020, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024269, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On October 30, 2020, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024270, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On December 15, 2020, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024801, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On January 11, 2021, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024839, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On January 14, 2021, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024975, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

On January 14, 2021, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC2190024976, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

They are definitely going really slowly for majority of I-129Fs with receipt dates from late October onwards although a few lucky people with November/December/January receipt dates have received NOA1 already - I wonder if these are expedited cases or faster for another reason.

Is it just me or is it insane that there are people who files in january receiving noa1s before people who filed in october and november?! I guess they will move forward based on the receipt date but this to me just screams of extreme disorganization or some other major screwup at the lockbox.

It's completely asinine, I can't explain why it would be handled that way at all.
