For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Good luck because this is a long process currently running 5-6 months from filing date for your NOA2 approval.

Also, since your application will go through a number of background checks this is a primer on what goes on with the background process.

 

I know it really sucks, but the best way to get through this is to lower your expectations and try not to compare your timeline to anyone else's. Don't forget that the people here on Visa Journey represent a tiny percentage of all the petitions the CSC has to work through! When someone gets to your file you'll hear from them. Stay busy, talk a lot with your fiancé about non-visa stuff, don't forget to hang out with your friends, take up a new hobby, go to a sporting event, and your time will come! Good luck

Mailed this week, USPS is showing the package as collected from the lockbox. Here is to hoping for a NOA1 in the next several weeks.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. Hi All,

 

I have submitted my K-1 visa application (I-129F) to USCIS PO Box in Dallas, Texas on October 31th. USPS tracking system shows the package is received and signed. However, by now (Nov 22th) I have not heard anything from USCIS. The G-1145 form is filled and attached along with the entire package, but I didn't receive any text or email at all. The filing fee is not cashed out either. I have emailed to lockboxsupport (lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov) regarding this issue, but I only received automatic response email from them which is not helping. 

 

I just saw this youtube saying K-1 visa is not processing due to pandemic. I am wondering if anyone is having the same issue like me.

It normally takes 30 to 45 days to receive your NOA1 from USCIS, so it looks like your expectation is a little earlier. Pre-pandemic we would see the intake of a I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) to be about 2 weeks but with the current situation it is taking longer. Give a few more weeks and you'll have a reply and a NOA1.

 

Have you registered here Case Status Online - Case Status Search (uscis.gov) to follow your case? Overview of what the intake process procedures are Lockbox Filing Information | USCIS.  Call the service center hotline USCIS Contact Center | USCIS.

Hi, everyone! Just started my K1 visa as well. Sent on Nov. 18, the package already received. Waiting for NOA1. I'm quite optimistic, since the K1 visas are now a priority.

Hey, it seems we are all in the same boat. They received ours Nov 2nd and still no response whatsoever. Hopefully this week.

You'll have to give them a minimum of 30 business days to respond before you start to panic! Especially during these times of the government changing hands. You'll have to be patient to say the least.

They are running behind up to 30 plus days. You should see some activity soon. We did have a holiday here in the US and that will delay things. Good luck and stay engaged in the process. BTW, you should begin reading some of the post in this thread. Your question was asked and answer just above yours.

We filed ours on November 6 via UPS and it was signed for on November 11. No notice yet or money taken out, but it's a pleasure to be waiting here with you all.
