Will Expedite work on K-1 visa now?

Hi. We got our NOA2 in April, since then our case is stuck at the NVC, no info about Moscow embassy reopening interviews. I just requested Expedite interview from the NVC (i guess you suppose to do it through them), as the main reason i've mentioned financial hardship (we really do have a problem with it right now, especially me, who is stuck in russia and cannot work). Do you think this might work out?

EVERYONE thinks their case should be put at the front of the line....It is a normal part of the process now, it seems.  Let us know how it works out.  In your case, is there some reason you can't return to the US and establish domicile while the normal K-1 process continues?

My fiance is returning to the US in two weeks so he can work and earn money. He is, in fact, going to "establish domicile" in the US. He already has one. Does it make you feel good to behave in a pretentious manner on internet forums, when I never even suggested that my case was more important than anyone else's?

We do have financial hardships because my fiance stayed here with me to assist financially, because I lost my job due to COVID (and can't work now because no one will hire someone who will immigrate soon, in Russia), and couldn't return to the US in a comfortable timeframe, due to no information at all from the NVC after we received our NOA2. He's only returning now because his visa is expiring and he needs to work to keep us above 100% of the federal poverty guidelines.

I'm assuming you're the USC?  "Stuck in Russia" is obviously a choice you've made.  Like any other USC, you are absolutely allowed to return to the US and work.

So you're the alien fiance.  USCIS will not expedite based on what is going on with COVID-related unemployment in your country.   That isn't the purview or interest of USCIS or DOS.

he is returning in two weeks. He was in Russia to support me financially. I, on the other hand,  am stuck in Russia, because the embassy is still closed and i can't get my k-1 visa and go to the US.

If your petition isn't even approved, you will not immigrate 'soon.'   K interviews are not even happening yet.

The petition was approved in april. I am only waiting for the embassy to reopen.

So, why does your case justify an expedite?  I just don't see an expedite....but then, I don't make those decisions.

If the US citizen is already moving back to the US, exactly how does this expedite help his/her (US citizen)  financial hardship?  No one likes separation, but sometimes, it is unavoidable.....
