Please explaing to me why this cop is not in jail. He clearly murdered this man and his fellow cops are accomplices.

I have a co worker who spent several years on the force. He said this was murder and the other cops should have stopped him

Just watched the full coverage. Sean Hannity I am proud to say strongly condemned what happened. A man belly down in cuffs had the full weight of a cops body pressing in his neck for over 8 mins.

A protester asked a great question.  Why is the cop not arrested yet?

I usually fall on the side of the cop, not in this case, this was way past necessary force

Agree with you.  The audio is heartbreaking.

I fully supported the cop who shot Michael Brown in self defense,  but this was nuts

Genius just not only caused millions, possibly billions in property damage as a result, but has put other police officers and citizens in harms way thanks to this.

There's no reason to bother wondering what he was thinking, throw him in the bootyhouse and let the inmates take care of him. The investigation should be where his coworkers were and why no one did anything.

It's not to justify the rioting and looting from morons who were looking for a reason to destroy/steal property, they should absolutely pay the price as well, but given the vetting officers go through to get the job, there's no way they don't have the basic intellect to know that putting the full weight of your body through your leg/knee on someone's head/neck is egregious, extremely dangerous, and is likely the kind of excess someone does in anger. Officer needs to fry, and the police force there needs to do mandatory training to intervene when another officer's act presents a serious threat to someone unjustifiably. It really only took someone with somewhat of a conscience to help the officer and get him off the guy's neck.

If I wind up wrong and the guy was somehow a threat I'll gladly apologize and follow the facts, but I saw no threat from a guy lying on the ground necessitating this.

It was particularly hard on us (wife saw it too) seeing how the guy was put on the stretcher.. like, even if he was a criminal or whatnot, it's as if he was a slab of meat at a butcher's shop tossed on a table. You wouldn't think it was an actual human. CPR? What is going on? Just stunned. I rarely get emotionally involved in these types of videos but it was hard seeing that and not getting teary-eyed, what a way to treat a human.

I, too, will usually take the side of the police, but in the sickening video I posted, there is no way for anyone to support the cops this time.  I haven't been that disturbed in many, many years at the cold-hearted manner in which Floyd was executed.  I hope the officers involved all get a long stint in gen pop.

Same here as well. Also that audio is just heart breaking because you can hear the literal life going out of him every time he spoke

I agree, the cop who did the act should be in prison now, and the investigation should be focused on his buddies that did not recognize the seriousness of the situation before it was too late.  Police officers are entrusted with the potential of using lethal force when warranted even in a split second decision, but not recognizing what was going on here makes me question how well trained these cops are in Minneapolis.

This was the most horrible thing I have ever seen.  I can not imagine what suffering that poor man felt before he finally died.  He was begging for his life "please I can't breathe" and even was calling out for his mama.  It was heartbreaking.  The guy that did it needs to spend the rest of his life in prison.  But the other cops are no better.  All it would have took is for one of them to say "enough" and get the guy off of him.  The bystanders couldn't intervene because they would have ended up arrested or maybe dead.

Naturally, some toxic piles of trash in the political discourse:

‘Watchmen’ Actress Frances Fisher: ‘They Want a Race War. We’ll Give Them a Race War’

In a Twitter post on Thursday afternoon, the former 49er said not only were the riots “logical,” he also said the people have “the right to fight back.”

When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction.

The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance.

We have the right to fight back!

Rest in Power George Floyd
