Use the NVC call number and keep checking to see if your case is there and a case number has been assigned. Once we get that we can get this bad boy moving.

Do you have the USCIS helpline for military?

USCIS has established a toll-free military help line exclusively for members of the military and their families. USCIS customer service specialists are available to answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (CST), excluding federal holidays. After-hours callers receive an email address that they can use to contact USCIS for assistance.

•Military Help Line: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645)

Yes Sir I call them plenty of times thru the process cause they approve my expedite request Dec  but did not get my NOA2 until April 12 so basically it took almost the same as if I did not expedite even with a congressmen .

Hopefully they get my file number soon I will contact you Thank you

Patiently awaiting on NVC to assign my case number. NOA2 approval on 4/8/2020. Reading the helpful PDF and trying to stay calm. @Greenbaum wondering if you have the P3 for Honduras. Unsure about if the embassy is taking deliveries or seeing appointments. I know the medical examiners are working. Thanks in advance!

I guess the right word was not denied. They were unable to update my email address in the system as they have not received my approved petition.

I tried to follow the PDF, however, I am not entire sure what the point is in having your email update. I believe the NVC will notify anyways once a case number has been assigned.

Hey Rob,

Just curious if you got your case number assigned yet? We also emailed them to update our email addresses and they told us they haven't received it yet. My fiancé received the NOA2 on April 6, 2020.

We're also waiting for the case number. We received our NOA2 on April 6, 2020 but when we checked it online using the USCIS status check, it was already approved by April 1, 2020. I hope we get it soon! 😔 Because my fiancé emailed them and they said they haven't received it yet and it could take up to 6 weeks.

Hey guys in case you haven’t seen it or signed it. Someone created a petition to allow for immediate family and fiancés to be exempt from the executive order. Go ahead and sign if you can. Doesn’t hurt.

I don't have the P3 letter for your embassy. What I do have is different places that you should use in the preparation of the interview. These are all official online tools to use. If and when you do get your P3, would you please DM me where we can discuss how you can get a copy to me so I can help others that come behind you.

Normal shipping from USCIS to NVC is 30 days at best. Then another 7-14 days till a case number is assigned. "your mileage may vary" More patience.

Your case number should be coming soon. I think both of us have a very similar timeline. I got my NOA2 on April 7th and called NVC an hour ago where they gave me my case number! You should definitely call them.

On another note, are they sending Packet 3's to beneficiaries even if embassies aren't doing interviews? Or will we have to wait for Packet 3 until the embassies start doing interviews again?

You can't hurry it along at all. You must wait till you see your date on CEAC change to ready two times. The second change you can send in your P3. A copy of the P3 is linked below. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterward.

Thank you! Also, the NVC timeframe website says the following, but what does that mean? I thought now we just wait for our case to get shipped to the Montreal embassy. What is the below information for?

Before the National Visa Center reviews your case, you must pay all fees and submit all required documents, such as:

  • Petitioner’s Affidavit of Support;
  • Supporting financial documents;
  • Applicant’s DS-260, and
  • Applicant’s civil documents.

You may get an e-mail that requests that you send documents to NVC, and they will schedule
your interview, which is a pad script sent out to "immigrant" visa applicants. Still, since the K-1
is treated as an "immigrant" during this process, you'll sometimes get notifications like this.
Just ignore them. You do everything with the Embassy once you are approved from USCIS with
a NOA2.
