@ClioNicole and @mryrth. Being one of the "smart ones" I'll offer an answer. The CEAC status you received is only advising you to where your file is currently hence it states "AT NVC". Nothing further in that post pertains to you so no need to concern yourselves. The advisal about the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application is just that. It's advising you to complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. If you have then great but if you have not, they advise you to complete the document.

I know a thing or two because I have seen a thing or two!

Thanks.

Count on whom? You don't "quote" someone, so we have no idea who you are responding to.

Here's some tricks to use when answering and wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.

Go directly to your embassy's webpage to keep checking for information regarding operating status and any further updates. When new appointment dates are available for booking, they will display through your appointment calendar within your Visa Appointment Service account at https://www.ustraveldocs.com. Please ensure that you monitor the email address that you used to register with the Visa Appointment Service, including the junk or spam folder, as that is how you will be contacted if it is necessary for your future appointment to be postponed.

Also, DOS has issued a memorandum that K-1 Visas are now a high priority.

Hello everyone, just want to share some really good news from Malaysia Embassy. They are finally processing K1 visa!  Now all I have to wait is for NVC to send my case to the embassy. Hopefully this brings a light in the tunnel for some of you! Good luck :)

Keep checking CEAC for status changes. Records are usually sent on a Wednesday but that was when it was a normal process. When CEAC status changes to "in transit" you'll know your case is on its way to the embassy. Further details are in the PDF on the first page, first post search for #9 for further information. Good luck and stay engaged.

How do you expedite your case stuck at nvc? Do u email the consulate in the beneficiary's country or email nvcexpedite@state.gov?

My fiance sent it to the email above but I'm not sure if that's the correct place

First be sure you follow the guidelines for the request to expedite and that you meet their requirements. Anyone can ask for their case to be expedited but must follow certain criteria. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria  If accepted or denied neither have an impact on any other process toward a visa.

1. For USCIS refer to https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/how-make-expedite-request

2. For NVC they expedite K-1 visas already.
3. For Embassies; An expedited request requires you to contact them either through email or a phone call. Most embassy don't grant expedited visas but only in the case of an emergency. Check with your embassy for additional details.

Chapter 5 - Requests to Expedite Applications or Petitions

Benefit requestors may request USCIS to expedite the adjudication of their applications or petitions. USCIS considers all expedite requests on a case-by-case basis and generally requires documentation to support such requests. The decision to grant or deny an expedite request is within the sole discretion of USCIS.

My K1 case is in transit to Malaysia Embassy! :D

Hi @Greenbaum, is it necessary to have all documents (Form I-134, Letter of Intent...) to be originally signed or a copy is good enough? And other documents such as Birth Cert, does it have to be an original one or a copy of the original is fine? Appreciate your help.
