Just checked on our AOS and noticed that it was updated on April 15 to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview."

Thankfully we were able to knock out the biometrics on March 19th—right before they shut down the local office in Los Angeles.

I assume it's just more of a waiting game now. Hoping that they increase the number of waived interviews 🤞

My EAD/AP were approved yesterday. No expedite was done, as I did not get a chance to do biometrics. I applied concurrently (eb2) in late February.

Interesting. Do they have your fingerprints though, for any other reason they were taken in the past? I`m asking because we were not able to do fingerprints due to office closings in March, wondering if our case frozen till we can do biometrics.

I only did biometrics in my country's embassy and probably at the port of entry (cant really remember). The card will be mailed in one week and I will learn if it has biometrics or not. On the uscis app, all i131 filers who filed at the same time as me have already been approved  and most ead's have too. If your case is like mine, it will be processed. My service center is Nebraska

Your  case gives me hope.  I am AOS from H1B via family based immigration.  I was freaking out when they extended biometric office closures. So in the end it is possible for them to issue EAD without biometrics done!

Our timeline is really similar but of course cases are different. Fingers crossed for EAD soon...

They certainly seem to be moving things along. I received my courtesy letter for the medical exam in the mail, which says that I need to bring it to the interview if they schedule one, otherwise they will request I mail it via RFE.

Not sure if this is just the standard wording, or if this reflects what i've been seeing here about cases getting approved without an interview.
