  1. Hello, I am the fiance of the petitioner asking for advice and explanation for how to fill the I-134 form but especially if my petitioner needs extra document such as : W2, tax returns etc.. To put this into context, my girlfriend does not have a job, she is a student but she has a co sponsor that should be above the poverty line. Her aunt will be the one filling the I-134 form, but she is stressing about if she needs to ask her for the W2 and tax return and maybe more ? She read a recent review about a K1 visa interview, the sponsor apparently was asked his W2 and work certificate, but thats because he was probably working. Also her aunt (co-Sponsor) owns her business and apparently doesn't get any stubs. How can she replace pay stubs? So we just want make sure we have everything. We had no idea the embassy needed all this, just the affidavit of support really.. Would anybody be able to shine some light on this, as to why they need and how to get all these documents? Your help will be very appreciated. The interview will take place on the 16th of October, in Paris. I am the french fiance and she is the american petitioner just to clarify !
  2. My fiance is French, but he lived in China with his parents for several years with a student visa from the time he was 10 years old until he was 19 years old. He moved back to China when he was 21 years old with a visitor visa (S2) to visit family and he has been living in china for 2 years (including the multiple renewals). Do you know if he is required to get documentation for a criminal background check from china even though he is not a Chinese citizen and has been on a visitor and student visa all these years? If a criminal background check from China is required, where do you recommend to go? He lives in Shanghai. Thanks!!
  3. Yeah, I think I might consider taking the Facebook, Instagram and Christmas cards out. I added them because we do not have proof of a formal engagement or an engagement ring, so I thought that it would prove that we were more of a bona fide couple. But maybe they don't need all of that information right now. We traveled a lot during 2018, and I am a pack rat, and just so happened to have all kinds of boarding passes and receipts ha. For the photographs, I added 16 photos of us, which I think is too much. I read somewhere that they prefer pictures where they can see both of your faces clearly (e.g. no sunglasses). I have seen people either printed pictures out and put them in a Ziploc bag, or paste them on pages like a scrapbook. As long as the pictures are labeled with the date, the location of the photo, names of people in the photo, and maybe a description of what you were doing during the time the photo was taken if you want to. I glued my photos on a piece of paper and put a description next to it. I heard that a minimum of 3 photos is good, and a maximum of 9. I hope my method is sufficient.
  4. Thank you for the information, I am debating leaving out the "proof of ongoing relationship" stuff or maybe just reducing the amount of it. Is this information is more for the interview? If I included "proof of ongoing relationship" in the I-129F, do you think it would still be ok, is it better to add too much than too little? I guess I added it because I thought it would prove that our relationship is bona fide I guess. But I also don't want them to think I'm trying too hard haha. Am I supposed to prove that our relationship is bona fide at this stage? Thank you so much! This is what I am thinking about taking out/ reducing: Proof of ongoing relationship 1. chat history (19 pages) 2. call history (6 pages) 3. Instagram posts (2 pages) 4. Facebook posts featuring friends (3 pages) • Christmas card from Beneficiary's grandparents includes translation by Beneficiary (3 pages) • Thank you card I wrote for his parents includes translation by Beneficiary (3 pages)
