Thank you for posting it. Their dates are similar to ours so it is a welcome ray of sunshine - current situation not with-standing. :)

I just found this forum last night and I could cry I am so excited to have found it! We submitted our application Feb 4 and received NOA1 Feb 13. Spending time reading through threads at the moment and getting some of my questions answered. Anyway I just wanted to say hello and it's nice to find a group of people who know what it's like going through this process! We got very stressful news a few days ago that my fiance in the US lost his job due to Coronavirus and we are now very worried about him not yet starting a new job before my interview comes up! He is a teacher so any new work will only start for him end of July. Fingers crossed everything works out though. It's nice to be here in this forum :)

Welcome to the group. According to your timeline and when you can expect an interview I would say you will be interviewing sometime in Aug-Sept, so I don't see a problem in your Fiancé reacquiring a teaching position. Good luck and stay in engaged.

Hey Feb 2020 K1 filers! So anxious. Prayerful and expectant. We're in a pandemic which is very unfortunate. I want to quarantine with my love.  I find myself checking the mail every other day 😩. The pandemic in combination with this process has me practicing patience at the highest level lol. I hope we all hear good news soon.❤️

The background checks for the NOA2 include the petitioner and beneficiary. The beneficiary has the added step to supply police certificates from other countries. They also must supply a PC from their home country. Those directions will be in the P3 letter.

For other countries; They are required for all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months since the age of 16 and any country where you have been arrested, even if you were not a resident there.  U.S. police certificates are not required.  Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable or are obtained directly by your Embassy (rarely does your embassy execute this step).  Fingerprints are required for certain countries.

Oh excellent. I was worried I would end up with an interview just before he started again (assuming he gets another position for the new school year). Thank you for your response! :)

Hey question for those who have received NOA2 - Did your status at the USISC online change? Right now its showing you do not need to do anything at this time.

Will the availability of interview spots be impacted by the shut down once things open back up?

In what way? They open the interview schedule, you make mad dash to schedule your interview appointment, you show up, the CO ask a few questions and says your approved. Wait for visa to be delivered. Walk on the airplane and wave goodbye and hello fiancé. Nothing has changed. Good luck and stay engaged.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

With the news and everything going on, I've been on here a bit more. Probably should join in on the forum a bit!  NOA1 was received on 2-19. Hopping the best since my fiance had a flight over to visit late June for a week, then i will go back to PH with her for a week for our vacation. Fingers crossed some airlines open up a bit to allow for some travels! Stay safe everone!
