How’s your filing process going? I see your filing for Jamaica. I to am filing for my spouse. It’s been since Oct. 29th, got my NOA 1 in November. I haven’t heard from Nebraska service center..Ugh!!!

We sent the form in but it was weird as we didn't get an email, I actually got the alert from Case Tracker! Other website  still shows as received and is not updated.

 

I-130 PD: October 5, 2018

I-129F PD: September 3, 2019

I-130 NOA2: September 26, 2019

 

I can't say for certain if filing the I-129 helped us or not. We had a lawyer for I-130 but filed I-129 on our own. (Sharing in case anyone out there is sitting on the fence to proceed with this option in the same scenario. Thanks to those who responded to me on that question btw).  We ultimately decided to go for it as insurance in case Nebraska pushed out timing more. Planning on doing the rest ourselves to try and save some time and money. Looking forward to NVC!!!!!

They might be trying to push as much as they can out by the end if the FFY (Federal Fiscal Year) that's why it appears there was a lot of action the last few weeks.

Married: 1SEPT18🖤

FILED I-130: 29-OCT-18 🤗

NOA1: 1-NOV-18 💆🏾‍♀️

NOA2: Still Awaiting word from Nebraska service center.

Absolutely not a word! 🤔

What is the filing address for this form? Is it the same as the I-130's? or the one stated on I-129F's instructions?

It is the one on the I-139 instructions. I mailed mine to Leiwsville, Texas

I'm curious because I don't know how the sorting works, and how you send it to mailing address and ends up to the same service center that has the I-130.

You can send it to the Dallas lock box or  Lewisville  .. these are the only 2 locations to send the I-129. And they will send it to where your I-130 is currently at.

And I know others have already answered now but yes I sent mine to the Dallas lockbox, it gets sent to the same service center as the I130 because they must be processed together, so when you send the I129f with the I130 NOA1 they know where to send it based off the receipt number of the I130

I just read all 73 pages of this thread to get caught up on this topic.

 

My husband and i were originally going to file for the K-1, but after discussing the pros and cons we decided to get married and file for the CR-1.  A few days after I sent the application, I realized that his two children needed their own I-130's, with another $535 each.  Meanwhile, some plumbing problems and car problems have sidelined my ability to file for their I-130's any time soon.  So, I am going to apply for the K-3/K-4 visas to bring them all at the same time.  It's my understanding that we don't have to file for an adjustment of status if we wait on the I-130's to be approved.  The K-3/K-4s are valid for 2 years.  I think it would cost us less to have them return to the Dominican Republic for their embassy appointments rather than the expensive AOS paperwork.  I would like to get the children here before school starts in August 2020.  Fingers crossed.🤞

I’ve heard it depends, some people have their documents reviewed after 2 weeks some people after like 5-6+ weeks, i think the average is a month though
