Hi,

I'll be sending out my (k1) AOS packet this week. I arrived here June 23rd and married July 20. My i-94 says Admit Until 9/19, but my k1 visa says it expires December 3rd 2019. I've read that it takes 1-3 weeks for the NOA1, should I be concerned about my i-94 expiry date?

NVM, it says 9/19, not 9/9. Sorry. I'm on edge with all these AOS paperwork. Thanks!

You have nothing to worry about since you got married before the expiry of your i94.

Received text messages last night (after 10p.m.), with Receipt Numbers.

Does anyone know the meaning of the "MSC" written before the Numbers?

Thanks!

The MSC tells you what service center your case was sent to. In this case it’s the National Benefits Center which is where pretty much everyone’s on here goes ☺️

Post ours today. 8/23/2019. Good luck everyone!

Received a text message from USCIS on 8/29 to say case was received. Got three case numbers instead of 4, despite filling I-485, I-864, I-765 and I-131. Case number for I-485 only stated fingerprint fee was received and no case number was given for I-864. We filled all four forms in one single binder. Should we of got 4 case numbers? Has this happen to anyone else?

You shouldn't get a case number for I-864 since its an affidavit of support. It is just proof to them that you can financially support the person you petitioned.

You should just get 3  case numbers for your I-485, I-765 & I-131. The I-864 comes under the I-485 application.

Sure. My appt was at 8:00am. There were 6 people in line already but the process was very quick.

Bring the biometrics notice they send in the mail and your i.d. with you.

Also bring your marriage certificate if you changed your last name.

The guard did ask me for it but I didn't have it with me but it was ok.

They give you a simple form to fill out with your Name, Height, weight, eye color and hair color etc

Then had to go on another line to get a ticket number to be fingerprinted and photographed.

Biometrics notice was stamped in red and will  it back and then you're all set!

Cellphones should be turned off completely.

Everything took 30 mins. Arrive 15 mins prior to your scheduled time.

I just got sent back from my biometrics appointment here in Dallas because I didn’t bring my marriage certificate and the name on my German I.D. Doesn’t match my new married name yet and I do t have my Texas Driver License yet... 😑

so do bring your marriage license... especially if you changed your name and don’t have an I.D. Reflecting the new name!
