  1. My case status changed for my Employment Authorization from "fingerprint review was completed" on September 11th to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" on September 12th and I don't understand 🤔 Is it a phrasing change ? What is the purpose ? It doesn't really make a big difference, does it ? I'm even more confused haha
  2. I'm pretty sure that AOS is taken care of by the National Benefits Center. Maybe it's written on the Notice of Action ? Anyways, if you call USCIS they should be able to tell you and help you
  3. Maybe you should try calling USCIS as well ! I told them that the people I had on the phone on my previous calls told me to wait 60days after they received my response to RFE to fill up a case inquiry (which was true) so the lady that I talked to today looked it up and filled a case inquiry for me. I don't know if it'll do anything, but I think it's worth trying ! I hope both our cases will move soon... it would be a nice present for the end of the year. If you wanna call USCIS : Phone number : (800) 375-5283 And then do 1, 1, 2, 2 to get someone on the phone in English or 2, 1, 2, 2 to get someone on the phone in Spanish. They'll ask for your receipt number, alien number and some personal infos to make sure it's you. Hang in there ! ❤️
  4. That's what I thought ... I asked her but she didn't know and as I had spent a long time on the phone with her already I felt bad having her do more research for me so I didn't insist on having the answer 😔 I would do that ! The processing center is on the page when you look up your case status on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do or on https://my.uscis.gov
  5. Since my RFE has been sitting idle for about 2 months, I called USCIS and the representative that I had on the phone did a very thorough job of researching what she could do for me. She put in a case inquiry request and told me that I should get an answer in 7 to 10 days. Now I'm wondering if the work permit is put on hold when you get an RFE for the AOS or if it is independent. In which case I hope that I will get some movements on that one soon, because it has been sitting on "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" for 3 months now.
  6. I got an ID by showing mobile bills and USPS address change and also the NOA1 of my AOS and maybe I was lucky or the clerk was super nice and understanding but they gave me a federal ID
  7. I appreciate that you're trying to make me feel better or something, but that really doesn't help much. I've filed my applications with RapidVisa, we made sure everything was there, and they made sure everything was there too. Mileage varies between people for the AED and AOS, it's very frustrating, I'm just venting. I would like it if you stopped telling me to "not worry" because you don't know about my personal situation and how that affects my day to day life and that of my family. I don't want to seem ungrateful or whatever, but this frustrates me even more. Plus they only ask for a birth certificate for the AOS, not for Advance parole or Employment authorization.
  8. I've called them every week for 3 weeks and every time I got the same answer, that someone was working on my RFE response and that if it hadn't moved by the 20th of December, I should do a case inquiry. I'm done calling them for now. I don't think they'll process my EAD before they review my response to RFE because it's about my birth certificate that they certainly misplaced, since it was in my initial package.
  9. Still no move on my status... AOS is still on "response to RFE received" and AED still on "fingerprints completed" 😔
  10. My NOA1 is August 19 and there has been no move on my EAD.... but also I'm waiting for them to review my response to RFE 🙄
  11. Also a funny thing that the last person I got on the phone told me when I called USCIS last week : "I would advise you to look up your case numbers at least once a month" ... I'm looking them up several times a day 😂
