Received paper copies of the NOA yesterday. One each for I485, I765, I131. Although also received text NOA for I130, didn't get anything on paper. Does it matter? I am not worrying at this point.

Just wanted to update on this for information purpose: My wife and I live in separate states currently and I received NOA for the 3 forms (485, 765, 131) while she received the other one (130). So we actually got all 4 receipts both paper and text. Still waiting on Biometrics notice.

  • 04/20/2018 - Got Married
  • 05/16/2019 - I130, I485, I765, I131 sent to Chicago Lock box
  • 05/20/2019 - Package delivered to Chicago Lock box
  • 05/27/2019 - Received text receipt for all 4 applications
  • 05/28/2019 - Check encash by USCIS
  • 05/31/2019 - Received all 4 Paper NOAs (I130 sent to my wife's address, the other 3 sent to my address: we're currently working in separate states)
  • 8/16/2019 - 1st Biometrics notice: only for I-485 scheduled for 9/6/2019 (no status change online)
  • 8/23/2019 - 2nd Biometrics notice: scheduled for 9/11/2019 this time for I-765 EAD (no status change online)
  • 9/6/2019 - Biometric Appointment - ASC completed both I-485 and I-765 on the same day (I took both letters)
  • 9/6/2019 - Online Status Change: Case is ready to be scheduled for interview (I-485)
  • 9/9/2019 - Online Status Change: Fingerprint review completed (both I-485 and I-765)
  • 10/8/2019 - Online Status Change: Interview was Scheduled
  • 10/15/2019 - I-485 interview notification letter received in mail
  • 11/01/2019 - Expedite requested online for I765 (no supporting doc provided)
  • 11/19/2019 - I485 Interview Day!
  • 11/19/2019 - New card Ordered for I - 485 (right after I-485 interview, originally told will get to know in a week)
  • 11/19/2019 - New Card Ordered for I-765 (They approved the expedite request)
  • 11/21/2019 - Case is Approved (I-485, I130, I131, I765)

It is sort of becoming a joke on the EAD/AP estimations now.  Love seeing the new emails weekly of our status being pushed our farther and farther :)

That's what I was going to say I got an email saying it will be by December 2th. Can't believe it. Don't think it will take 6 months.... That's way too much. I won't lose hope

I want to turn it off.  If this keeps up my estimate is going to be in 2020 by the end of June.

People need to expedite, many are and that is pushing those who do not into very long waits.

How do you do that? Don't you need a super important reason like an emergency?

Hopefully you did send form G-1145 with your AOS form, travel documents and your EAD documents right? I feel bad because it's no joke waiting for these people to do their job and seems like every month they get more and more backed up. Please let me know when you get some notice. Hang in there!!!

Thanks for the encouragement. We finally received the text late last night (Sunday). Now on to the next waiting game.

Great news. Our packet was delivered May 29, and we put a service request in the same day as you (6/10). So hoping to hear something soon.

Anyone else who had their application delivered to the lock box in May still waiting for NOA1?

Sure, many do. Sort of assumed it was common now.

From my reading they don't look at it before Biometrics. After biometrics if you have a job offer, you can request an expedite for EAD.

Update: Looks like USCIS finally picked up our packet off the stack. Wife’s credit card was charged $1225 a few minutes ago, 19 days after they received it.

Guessing NOA will be a few more days and we’ll get the notifications next week.
