Hello Everyone I Applied for my mother visitor visa she went prepared with all the documents in the interview they just asked name who is calling you where you’ll be staying and that’s it nd gave 214B slip and said sorry visa rejected didn’t check or asked for any document or proof I.e today 29April 2019. And with her almost 50 people approx were there just 1person got the visa which marriage based, everyone else got rejected is the policy of ban is in effect that is why they rejected visas like crazy .. ......??? Anyone with their recent experience

This doesn't make any sense....a tourist visa is not "marriage based" - those are immigrant visas, not visitor (non-immigrant) visas. So if someone there was approved for a "marriage based" visa it has nothing to do with your mother or anyone else getting rejected for a visitor visa. They are two completely separate processes. 

 

214(b) means she was rejected because she was presumed to have immigrant intent and could not overcome that by showing strong ties to her home country or reasons to return/leave the US.

That is what I meant mostly non immigrant  visitors visas rejected but only person got visa which was immigration based  and i know it has nothing to do With it what I am saying is most people were rejected today who applied for visitor and they gave same slips to everyone  how can intent of someone be checked without checking and supporting any docs and asking nothing just name of sponsor nd where you’ll be going ,  we showed sufficient ties to the country  and also Had sufficient supporting docs to show ties here nothing checked or asked

Documents are very rarely reviewed. The CO cannot verify their authenticity on the spot, and they don't really demonstrate intent to return home. the DS-160 provides nearly all, if not all, information the CO needs to make a decision.

She was denied under INA 214(b) - immigrant intent. This is a decision made by the CO based on a totality of the circumstances. Sorry, but there's nothing else to do. She is free to reapply, although expect the same result unless her circumstances materially change.

 

I'm unsure how she knows who/how many people did or did not get a visa that day. This especially goes for marriage based visas since those are usually handled in a separate part of the consulate by the Immigrant Visa Unit.

 

Edit: Pakistan has a 48% refusal rate for tourist visas. That's a very high rate...it will require having very strong ties to overcome the mandatory presumption of immigrant intent.

Almost everyone went in with her in line and came out we spoke to said the same and also in  Pakistan consulate it’s same section for visit and immigration

What ties did she show? What ties does she have to Pakistan vs. ties to the US? 

 

I wouldn't pay any attention to whether other people were approved or not, all cases are looked at individually.

Well, there’s no ban but it is a high rejection embassy, almost half of B visas are rejected.  Usually the decision is made based on the answers in the DS160.

 

Unfortunately some embassies have very high rejection rates if past applicants have often abused visas.

Property docs  , unmarried kids , husband,  job letter  and 2 kids here in US with blue passports   And we had put our information as well   nothing even looked or asked for ,

Bingo.

They suspected mom , like so many others, would use a tourist visa then “suddenly” decide to stay and adjust status with kids filing for her. 214b.

If nearly everybody applying for a tourist visa was denied, I would be expecting to see a near 100% refusal rate for B visas from Pakistan next fiscal year.

Somehow, I think that won't be the case.

Alright, that was obviously sarcastic. The point was that stories of "everybody was denied" are brought up every so often. But the actual numbers don't reflect that actually occurring. Every case is determined based on its merits. While it's sometimes tough to accept, past abuse by others creates a tougher hurdle for the people who legitimately want to visit then go home. That's just the way it is.

 

There is nothing to show, unfortunately. They didn't look at her documents last time and almost certainly won't do so in a future application. The DS-160 doesn't provide anywhere to provide other information or documents.

if there was some way to do so, I guarantee people would be telling you here, and it would likely be posted on the DOS and/or consulate's website.

Having immediate relatives in the US who are USC's and can potentially petition for her to get a green card will making getting a tourist visa very, very unlikely, if not impossible. I doubt there is any tie to Pakistan she can show that will overcome the suspected immigrant intent.

 

She could always have one of her USC children petition for her to get an immigrant visa, then she can later abandon the GC to show that she really has no immigrant intent...then after all of that, she can go back and apply for a tourist visa. Costly, slow...but that might be the only way to show that there really is no immigrant intent.

It's not about a ban, it's about how many people from that country decided to move to the US on a tourist Visa. The COs are trying to avoid that. Blame your Pakistan fellowmen, not the embassy.
