Congratulations! Were you eligible for naturalization last march, and if so did you apply?

Yes I am eligible. Was actually logging in to work on my application when I noticed the approval message.

LIN Filer here on AOS in July 2021.

No word still about our I-751.

But last July 2022 we qualified to apply for naturalization and promptly filed an N-400 with local office at Seattle, WA.

Today roughly 61 days since lodging the N-400 online, we received in postal mail of N-400 interview scheduled on November 2022.

So if you are eligible for N-400 and your I-751 is still stuck, go for the N-400.

Any recommendations from the thread to prepare for potentially a dual interview for I-751 and N-400 will be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,

G&A

I would say, first, your spouse should come with you. Second, take a copy of your 751 submission.
That’s pretty much it.

Status changed to RFE today 🥴

Filed April 2021, stuck on Biometrics since July 2021, no idea what they could be asking for and to be 100% honest, at this point I don't know if I have any additional evidence that I haven't already sent them. I filed under a divorce waiver and have been separated for almost 2 years so I don't know what to expect. You could argue that we didn't have enough financial co-mingling, since we didn't have joint bank accounts, but we were both in our twenties and had very different job situations, so merging our finances wasn't a decision we wanted to make until later in the relationship, had it lasted longer. Otherwise, we shared health insurance and our names were on credit cards together, that's all I can think of.

How long does it usually take for LIN to take action on a RFE once I send them what they're asking for?

I think the answer to your question varies greatly. For example, when I did my AOS it took them about a week to resume working on our case once we submitted our response. But I’ve seen them all over the place. They are very unreliable when it comes to processing times.

I have read around the forum threads that an RFE receipt from USCIS could take  between 10-20 days from the day they potentially receive your documents. A safe assumption would be a month from the time you mailed it out.

Ladies and gents, I checked my status today and update says "New Card Being Produced". I'm from Wyoming, filed March 2021. Hooray but not all the way. I have a dilemma about this though (posted in my account for the full details). I have contacted USCIS several times this year to get an update since I haven't gotten anything from them since I sent my request to switch for a waiver, but to no avail. I submitted a processing inquiry to them a week ago and now I got this update. I'm assuming that the 10-year green card is granted on the basis of joint filing. Any input or suggestion about this? I plan on applying for citizenship in 2 years.

Did you actually submit a divorce decree? Just the request for the waiver is not enough.

Never mind, I just read your older thread and it seems that you did submit your divorce decree and did everything by the books. It is strange, though, that they haven't called you for an interview because most 751 divorce waivers are called for an interview. Unless they are starting to waive those too? I don't know. Did you follow my advice to talk to a tier 2 officer?
