After my wife's AOS interview we had to wait 3 months. Because her port of entry lost her file. Not our fault at all and still had to wait. Sometimes it happens. In the end we got approved though.

Just try to be patient and hang in there.

Tourist visas are difficult to obtain if you're from a country that traditionally has high rates of overstay and undocumented/illegal work.

Those countries also, for better or worse, tend to show up higher in the list of "high fraud" countries because people who are willing to overstay their visas or work illegally are also willing to forge documents, lie or try to deceive a USC for the purpose of a Green Card.   It's sad but true. It's absolutely not a reflection on every individual inside a country, but poor behaviour from some will result in more scrutiny for the rest.

Here is a US government website that explicitly states that there is a "high rate of attempted visa fraud in Guyana":  https://www.export.gov/article?id=Guyana-Visa-Requirements

Of course this isn't much comfort to the OP.  Hopefully it will add a bit more perspective on why the AP stage could be taking so long.  It's unfortunate that people in genuine relationships get caught up in the mess when the US government learns to be extra cautious because of other people from the same country who have tried to skirt the legal process of getting to the US.

OP, we understand the heartache of being apart from your loved one.  We are rooting for you.

You gotta relax .

People are stuck in AP for years sometimes. 3 months is not that bad yet. No one is prolonging this process on purpose. AP is always requires for additional  checks.

Anytime spent away from the person you love is bad. Please don't degrade how he's feeling. He has a right to feel frustrated.

I AM SO ANGRY/FRUSTRATED BEYOND THE CORE. STILL NO ANSWER FROM US CONSULATE IN GEORGETOWN GUYANA.  I AM LIVID WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING IT'S OKAY TO PLAY WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY LOOKING FOR. WE PROVIDED EVERTHING AS NEEDED.  I WAS EVEN TOLD WELL YOU MAKE MORE THAN ENOUGH MONEY TO PROVIDE FOR YOUR SPOUSE... I FEEL LIKE THESE IMMIGRATION OFFICERS ARE PLAYING WITH OUR LIVELY HOOD...HOW DO YOU TELL A COUPLE YOUR APPROVED THEN RECANT IT TO YOUR CASE IS IN ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW 3 MONTHS LATER AND NOTHING HAS UPDATED ON CEAC WEBSITE NVC SAYS IT'S OUR LOCAL EMBASSY.  I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING AS TO WHY DO THEY PROLONG THE CASE FOR THIS LONG, NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY IN DOING THINGS.

Have you contacted the embassy? Usually US embassy's have emails so that you can contact them. Also, maybe try contacting your senator/congressman?

OP knows they are in AP.

What part of what he said was degrading? Don't be so overly sensitive.

In FY 2018, Guyana had a 70% B visa refusal rate.......that's pretty high.

Woah, canada with 38% refusal rate? that doesn't sound correct at all. There is no way that 40% of canadians are being denied entry in to USA... Lmao

Of course not, that is not what it says.
