How's everything going? We are waiting for the embassy to send the email for further instructions

We were notified May 14 that our packet was being sent from NVC to Addis Embassy. I am feeling anxious about getting interview scheduled and receiving packet 3 instructions. Did you really just wait for email?? We completed the DS-160 and our status is “ready” but still no information on how to pay fees or schedule interview. I called the consulate and they said just wait for the email but this feels really concerning. Do you have any encouragement or insight?

Have you figured out how to pay interview fee with the internet blackout going on?? My fiancé has not been able to print the payment page and so he tried writing down the account and PIN number and taking that to abbysina bank but the system is down and they can’t accept payment. He also went to do medical but they won’t let him without payment receipt. Ugh!!

Hey! I already paid it a month ago when there wasn't an internet blackout. I think he will just have to wait until the blackout is over, unfortunately.

Hey do you remember how much it was for the medical exam and where you went?
blank avatar Malielikemolly on 2019-07-03 said:
It was much more expensive then we anticipated. I am sponsoring my fiancé and his twin boys. So for three medical it was around 18,000 birr.

I am not sure where he went. Probably Jared.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
