Hi!

I'm a bit confused with our situation and want to find out if there's someone with same "problem" or if can help.

We just filed or I-130 petition and received, actually, 2 NOA. The first one with an access code to have an ELIS account. On this one we got an IOE receipt number... few days later we receive another NOA with the confirmaton of payment with the same Receipt number.

When we try to track the Receipt number as we are not receiving e-mail updates, just says "Invalid receipt number". I have tried a million times and nothing.

We called USCIS that was unable to find or case / petition and just asked to wait because sometimes it takes a while...

Does anyone have a IOE receipt for I-130? Is this normal?

Thank you very much for all the answers.

Best of luck!

Rita

Since you are DCF it does not work.   We had to call the DOS on the Consulate side to finally get a case number and then we got the Packet 3 email right after getting the case number.

Did you file DCF (directly at the US Embassy), if so where? Portugal doesn't have a USCIS field office, so we need more information from you.

Hi Rita,

I am in the same exact situation as you. Received the first NOA with an IOE receipt number on Jan 18 and the second NOA a few days later confirming payment with the same IOE receipt number. We made an USCIS account but the only information that is shown is my (petitioner) profile details, but nothing about the case status. Attempts to check the case status also receive an error that it is in invalid number.

US Citizen filing from abroad in the Netherlands. I-130 also sent to Chicago Lockbox.

Please let me know if you have any news on your end!

Thx.

Dear Jenn,

Exactly same situation!

We have been trying to get some information on USCIS Costumer Service line but nobody could help until now. We will keep trying and let you know about it.

If you have also some updates please let me know!

You were sent to Potomac?

This means you benefit from an Electronic processing at Uscis. For what I learned it's way to faster.

We didn't expedite.

Now we are waiting to receive a Case number at NVC

They say they are getting used to process this type of petition so for now it's all I know.

Good Luck 😊

We just received our receipt IOE receipt number but nothing else. It’s taken a month and half to just receive this letter. Does this mean the other letter will come in a few days? From what I gather everyone on this thread received the ELIS and IOE days apart not same day.... so I should keep an eye out for ELIS letter?

I tried online tracking too but it says invalid. This has been very helpful so thank you. And good luck to everyone in the process.

p.s. I hope what you say is true and online processing is faster!
