So slightly surprisingly, we're here (new site says our petition was approved on Friday).

Was expecting December even though they seem to be working through May pretty quickly, but not complaining :D.

Sigh... Feeling a little down. .

Found out on the South African K1 forum that the SA embassy won't have any K1 interviews for December. So even if we make the shipment for end of this month, we'll only get to do interviews and medical appointments in Jan. . Sigh.. . O'well.

There goes Christmas with my beloved... ... 🙈😞

I was literally feeling the same way today as the holidays approach... I was hoping to have my other half by December but I guess it will be very difficult to have that dream come true. but hope is the last thing we loose they say. LOL

same here,  I was told the case was received on 11/14 and it might take 8 weeks or something like that

I've seen some people are told to call back in like 1 or 2 days to get the case number, I wonder how could they get such precise answer

The answer your getting, you'll get this with any government agency, their timeline for their process is ALWAYS over inflated. You MUST take their answer with a grain of salt. If you follow this thread with any intent, then there is so much history not only on this topic but other topics. Spread your wings and visit some of the other "monthly" threads and follow the discussion. It's a real education.

Guys I’m thinking we will have an interview in February but I pray sooner, for me assuming a February interview date when is too soon to pull employment verification and bank statements since obviously the more current closest to interview the better?

Tax returns obviously will be 2017 and I’ll just print it out but not as big a concern since nothing will change there.

My fiancé will work on her docs in December.

Hi guys, like Dave, I was pretty surprised to get to join this group today.

NOA2: dated Nov 09.  No updates in app, email, text, or website... but I retrieved the letter approval letter today.  I was even more pleasantly surprised to read the approval was 10 days ago.... happy dance

After 225 days we were approved. So glad to join this group. My first question is this: Will my fiances 12 year old daughter need to be at the interview in Bucharest and my second is how big of a difference does it make if I am present for the interview?

Thank you

I am not sure how big of a difference will petitioner's presence affect the case (at some cases, they don't even asked to join in the interview) but it will definitely be a great moral support for your beneficiary and a good proof of a relationship (?).

I don't ask for mine to come but he said he's coming. And yes, that means a lot to me!

Is the 12 yo a K2 on the 129f? If your embassy is easy to process through then no, but if it can be troublesome then I think it will help to be there. How many visits have you made in total to be with your fiancée. This would include any before you filed and those that were after need to be counted as a total. Those two items will have a baring on how I answer your questions.

Good day to all. There are a few questions. We received a NOA 2 on November 8th. When you think you can call the NEC to find out the number?

You can call the NVC whenever you want but you will not get an answer this soon most likely,  my opinion is call closer to December or a week after. More knowledge folks than I like greenbaum would have a better idea.

Thanks for the answer. I think, too, in early December. Not earlier

I'm thinkig the same. I'm sure I'll have my interview in February...  Taxes till 2017, if my fiance has ready his taxes, year 2018, before my interview I'll take them.
