Go to ceac.state.gov when you get your case number from NVC and enter it under "immigrant" for current status. Do not use non-immigrant as you select or it will come back null.

I just called NVC, they said they don't have my case yet and it could take 6 weeks for them to receive it from USCIS.

Hey guys, when completing NVC page with my email address,  for some reason it does not allow me to upload it stating that my date of birth is invalid. Do you guys know what can be an issue? Can it be an error on the NVC side? I tried entering it different ways but none was accepted....

I'm seeing that some having an NOA2 date of Oct. 3 have arrived at the NVC and some with an earlier date haven't even though they are from the same service center. How does that work? Is it like the NOA1 to NOA2 process where they try to go in order but it doesn't always happen? Just curious.

After you get your case number from NVC it would be a good idea if you were to connect with the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Colombia and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Get the US Embassy Colombian K-1 Packet 3 (P3) at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view  as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.
