Consulate Review: Algiers, Algeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 30, 2019
Embassy Review : My fiance had his interview on 1/14/19 at 10.30am. He brought everything I sent to him like my pay stubs, tax return for 2017, letter from employer, etc., as well as more chat and call logs from after we sent the I-129f until now.

He said there was only one other female there that day for a K1 interview. The officer was nice and asked him a lot of questions, but my fiance knows everything about me and he answered everything very well.

The officer kept all of the documents and evidence he brought and kept his passport, but gave him a 221g for a more proof of how we met on facebook. My fiance sent the proof back to the embassy by Aramex the next day and they received it on 1/17/19.

Our status was Admin Processing from the interview date until today, 1/30/19 and we received an email from the embassy saying the visa is approved and will be printed soon. So 15 days in AP, not so bad. CEAC website also changed to Non-Immigrant today.

The officer was very nice and professional, and we sent them emails a few times checking on the status of our case and they always answered in 1-2 days, and were very helpful. This embassy is very good.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
