Ohhh that sucks! Sorry to hear that!

I am wondering because of the status changes. For my AP and my EAD the status is still on 'case received' since NOA 1 (30th of August). However, my AOS is at 'case is ready to be scheduled for an interview' and I already received the invitation letter for the interview (10th of January). Just trying to figure out the whole process....:)

So I got an RFE on both my i-131 and i-765. Both letters say the exact same thing. I’m attaching a picture of the RFE. So my question is, since I have already provided them with the exact information that they’re asking for, shoul I just send the same documents again, or should I get a lawyer? I’m afraid if ny documents were overlooked the first time they will be again. Of course my name is not the same because I changed it when I married my fiancé but that’s what the marriage certificate os for! I’m at a loss here.

Also here’s what I sent on both cases with my original forms:

Form I-131 signed by applicant
Two (2) passport style photos of applicant
Copy of applicant’s passport (biographic, stamps and visas)
Copy of applicants K1 Visa
Copy of Form I-94 Record of Arrival
Copy of Form I-797 Approval Notice for I-129F Application
Certified Marriage Certificate

From what I understand, the process of your AP and EAD will be put on hold and eventually closed after the AOS application gets into the final stages. No need for EAD or AP when you got your greencard.

I keep checking my case statuses hoping that my Combo Card will be issued by the Christmas holidays. Fingers crossed!

My I-485 status has never been updated from "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" since August 6th, day of my NOA1. I read here and there that many applicants didn't get their updates until the interview notice 😶 it's a bummer that I can't rely on it. Is there something I can do about it? Maybe I can contact USCIS? Would they fix it? I live in Miami, where the field offices are ultra clogged and they take up to a year and a half to schedule the interview. Maybe it's due to that (?).
I also noticed that if I check my status on the Case Tracker app, it says that the receipt dates of my I-131 and I-765 are are August 2nd, but if I check it on myUscis it says they're August 6th. Which date should I consider?
Slightly confused, but it is what it is. Patience is an act of trust :)

I don't think there's anything you can do about it. I also have this problem I think even if my application is from late October, it doesn't seem to update. I don't think it is related to your office, it's the system that doesn't work for some of us ;)

I always thought that the EAD and AP are handled all together and not from the field offices.....but I agree normally you would think that they have a FiFo system - first in first out. But it seems like that it is more a lucky game when they work on your case :)

Omg, girl, this is so disheartening! They probably were not able to locate your marriage certificate. Bummer!

I don’t think you need to lawyer up just yet. Attach fresh copies of everything they requested, and if I were you, I’d even draw an arrow next to your new name on the marriage certificate.

So sorry you have to go through that!

Hi everyone. Both of my EAD and Advance Parole applications were approved on December 14th! I found out via email ("We have taken an action on your case") and then signed in to myUSCIS account.

It's a Christmas miracle! Yours is coming too 😜
