Well it is snarky. I tried to scroll through as much as I could before I asked the question. I just joined this group this morning so it was kinda hard to go through all 35 pages. Next time I will just ask my December K1 group members. They seem to be a bit friendlier lol

I received mine July 16 and have called, but they said they still have not received my case. Thinking it’s still just a little to early, when we call next week we should be able to get our case numbers. 10-14 days is the norm before calling. In the meantime, enjoy the reading in this forum 😜 took me awhile also but a lot of helpful information here. Another helpful thing is head over to your portal for China and see what people before you are doing in the country you are applying in. You will be able to learn more there, since they can answer specific questions that apply to you. Enjoy the reading 😂 can make your mind go crazy. But very valuable!

Is anyone else having trouble with DS 160? We are repeatedly getting timed out after just a few minutes. I see this problem is common but seems to be fixed after using the latest version of Chrome. Not for us, unfortunately. Any ideas?

If you are using Microsoft Windows, try either Explorer or Edge (Windows 10) web browser.   On my Windows 10 machine the Microsoft Edge Browser seems to work well.

But, on my Mac, Safari quickly times out after loading my DS 160 application.

Hey man I apologize for the response.  If your NOA2 was July 17 than try calling Monday. My NOA2 was shown as July 16 on the new website and I got my NVC number Thursday. It definitely doesn’t hurt calling besides being on hold for 30 minutes.

If you do get the case number you can track it here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

The people here can be helpful so please don’t be afraid to ask man. This forum is to help people. Good luck man.

Quick question - my fiancé is working on getting the evidence for the affidavit of support, and he's wondering whether it's ok to have the employer and bank letters dated before my case is "ready" at the interview. My gut feeling is that they don't care if it's dated before or after I schedule the interview, within reason...

Guessing this is also the case for the passport-style photos, @Greenbaum? I'm thinking of getting them done today so it's one less thing to think about. Can't believe the Vancouver medical place requires 5!

The only thing that would advise is the age that the particular Embassy would want for the documents. My opinion is if you can be within 2 months of the interview you are better off and won't be an issue at the interview.  Never heard an Embassy/Medical would need that many pictures. I guess digital is not a thing that the desire just yet.

Checking on your embassy case number:

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the MNL # from USEM.  Call 7:00am eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

Here is what is needed for GUS China Embassy. The P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview.

Also, select your flag in your profile and there is a load of information there.

Have a beautiful and wonderful day.

Hey guys, anyone here have any info on P3 for the Kingston consulate in Jamaica? Trying to get head start on gathering the required docs etc.

Does this help?

Go to: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv/information/iv_overview - first you have to create a profile. If you haven't done so already, the beneficiary needs to complete the DS-160, upload a passport pic, e-sign and submit it. MAKE SURE TO PRINT A COPY OF THE CONFIRMATION PAGE - YOU WILL NEED IT FOR THE MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW (I would recommend printing at least 2 copies just to have a spare or even more). If you (the beneficiary) do not have the confirmation page with you during the medical exam and interview you will not be able complete the medical or interview.

After you are done with the DS-160 and creating your profile the website approve, follow the steps to schedule your interview (interview has to be scheduled first before the medical exam - only required for Jamaica). After you paid the visa fee, and scheduled the interview, make sure to print the interview confirmation as you will also need this to take with you to the medical exam and interview. If the interview date is too close for you to get everything completed, email the embassy to change the date. Keep in mind the calendar gets filled up fast and your interview has to be at least 10 before the medical exam. If you have an immunization card/record, bring that with you so that they know what vaccines/shots to give or not give. If you don't have it, that's fine, just be prepared to pay for all the required vaccines during the medical exam.

Once you have done this, go to http://www.andrewsmemorialhospital.com/ - and click on U.S. Medical Exam to schedule your medical exam. They will ask you for your interview date. Fill out the form online and submit. St. Andrews will send an email with your medical exam appointment date and time (they will schedule it based on your interview date at least 7-10 before). If you feel like you don't have enough time between the interview date and medical, you will have to call them to change the date; however, remember that your medical exam has to be completed at least 10 days before your interview so if you change the medical exam and it's not 10 prior to the interview date, you will have to change the interview date (see above)

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/KNG%20-%20Kingston.pdf

You (the beneficiary) have to apply for your police record at your local police/government building (typically you can go to the one in Montego Bay - http://www.mns.gov.jm/content/how-obtain-police-record). You have to get the certificate of non-impediment at the RGD building in Montego Bay. The fast you want these forms the more expensive it cost. You have to have an original and certified copy of your Birth Certificate. You have to have your passport which is not due to expire at least 6 months.

The petitioner (US Citizen) must provide a complete  I-134 along with supporting financial documents since they will be sponsoring you - you can go to the USCIS.gov to get that information.

Letters of Intent must be updated and signed with a closer date to the interview on the letter. And you must have updated proof of ongoing relationship.

Here's my 2 cents. Some of us have been here helping others to get through this maze of "what to do next" and we see all kinds of ppl. Those that are trying to help themselves to those who are just plain lazy and want everyone to do it for them. They don't read, they don't research and some just don't say "thank you" when help is rendered. So, like others we sometimes have our good days and sometimes we have our bad days. But when the information is 2 entries pervious to your question you have to understand where @Little_Vixen is coming from. Some of us "old timers" have answered some of these questions hundreds of times. I have answered so many that I got tired of typing the answer over and over. Now I use OneNote where every question that I deemed important I will keep the information I used to answer it. So when you ask your question it was one of those questions that we say Oy Vey to because it was just answered. It's all a learning experience for you and for the rest of us. Just take the help and have a little thick skin.

Welcome to the thread and we know you will ask a question that already has been answered, but it's important to you so we can make it important to us to help you. By the way, there are so many tools to use on VJ to help you understand the process, where you are in the process and what you need to do in the process. This thread is just one area. Try selecting your name or your flag from your profile to the left or some of the tabs in the blue ribbon above. One of the best tools here is the search function, top right of this page where it says "Google Custom Search". Most of your questions can be answered by using the search.

Ok. All the best to you and hope to hear positive things from you.

First off thank you to everyone for there feedback snarky or no lol. As everyone knows this process can be draining. You wait 7 months for an answer and then boom one day you get it and now you have an entirely different set of things you should do. I have a very busy job (I'm an Excutive Chef) so I try to make sure that I'm very accurate when it comes to this visa stuff. I haven't seen my fiance in over a year. AND I'm so close. I tried to start at the beginning of the thread and read everything and (after a few pages )was like let me just ask. I felt stupid when I looked up and it was right above me. But just like we all know from the previous noa1 group people do ask the same question 1000 times. And in sure Next week someone else is going to ask the same thing I did. Haha

You are right. This form was originally designed for the CR1 process but they decided to use for K-1 also but it does need to be completed except for the case number. I would just put your WAC number there and move on.
