If you’re pursuing K-1 visa you can only get married in the US. 

 

If you’re married already in the US hopefully you applied for AP. Or be ready to postpone the celebration in Canada.

Sorry, but what do you want exactly? You have only poor choices left at this point.

If you are doing AOS, you should not have made any plans to travel abroad before having AP in hand. Now that you have violated the first rule, there's nothing anybody can do...you either cancel or postpone the plans OR keep the plans, leave the US (abandoning AOS), and do the CR-1/IR-1 visa process to re-enter the US.

Edit: Or you keep the plans and keep hoping AP or AOS is approved before the wedding.

 

If you are doing a K-1 (you posted this in the K-1 forum) and made plans for a wedding in Canada before getting married in the US, then you are risking being denied the K-1 visa.

Hard to give adequate advice without more information from you.

 

You posted this in the K1 forum, yet your profile reads you are pursuing the CR-1 visa.  Two completely different visas, two completely different set of rules, two completely different outcomes depending on what you want to do moving forwards.

 

Perhaps you can come back to this thread to clarify a few things.

You have no timeline and your question makes no sense as it asks about a wedding in Canada in a K-1 visa forum.

May look into that, Either one or none of the actual party needs to be there to be married.

It is possible, but USCIS will not recognize the marriage for petitioning purposes until it is consummated after the marriage. So it lets you get married faster, but not file any sooner.

I’m pretty sure this does not apply for immigration purposes.

Proxy marriages do qualify (although they do tend to be skeptical IMO), although the must be consummated after the marriage before they are recognized.
