Hey guys.  Just an update.  Our interview date is schedule for sept 24

How did it go? I’m not sure if you responded already on the thread. My husband and I are still waiting for interview date we think it will be coming soon maybe a letter this month. Still so anxious about the interview though.

Sorry i havent updated.  We just got back this weekend.  Interview was ok.  They asked basic personal info (birthdate, marriage date, etc).  They mostly asked questions about how my husband got into the us illegally.   Asking the same questions in different ways trying to see if there are any lies or fraud in the story.  Interview was only 15-20 min.  U must bring ds 260, 601a approval, and any other forms that u submitted.  Even if they are from ten years ago.  They do like it if u speak to the interviewer in english.  Show that u are adjusting to the us lifestyle. I understand being anxious but there really isnt a reason to be.  Just be straightfoward and honest.  U dont have to pay any fees as the embassy but u do have to pay some fee online before reentering the us.  Our lawyer did that for us.  Good luck!   Keep us posted

Hi thank you so much for your reply. I know I keep telling myself it’s going to Be okay but im worried about the question about entering the US. My husband came at 13 and I just want him to be okay answering that. Like I don’t know what is right I’m glad you told me about the English part because he was debating on that and wanted to do it in English but then was like what if they will think bad of me for doing it in English. I don’t know we are clearly overthinking but again thank you so much and glad you guys are back! Congrats!

Just be honest however he came in.  Ur words have to match what they have on record.  If u choose ur native language to communicate at the embassy, i heard, they make you do a second interview that day in english.  Good luck and dont worry

Just tell your husband not to make anything up for the sake of answering the question, he can say he does not recall if that is the case as he was a child.

Got a response for my inquiry about case being outside of processing time

Generic BS :

Your petition is still pending consideration. USCIS records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received.
Just would like to know in what order ???

People from December being approved or asked for RFE .

October 10 will be ONE YEAR since they received my case .

it might be the officer's workload who will be reviewing your case.. just like when you go to the market and there are couple of lines you can enter.. so, I guess you entered to the slowest one my friend:( I'm sorry but I have this sense that you will be approved directly without rfe cause after all that time.. good luck again..

Ours is in nyc.  His last name is nicelli.  Our lawyer is great.  Honest and straightforward. I have heard of horror stories about other lawyers with people in the same position as us.

Hi i have a similar problem, can you send me your lawyers info? Thanks

Update:

my case was closed officially on 9/25, 2 weeks later on 10/9 I received my appointment email. It’s going to be on Nov 6, so a little less than a moth, and I was told by medical office to travel ASAP to see the doctor and they take 5 business day to produce the results that I have to bring to interview. Btw my interview is in PERU 🇵🇪
