  1. Hello, I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who just sent in our i60a Wavier packet in 2018. I just received our receipt notice today 3/1 and our case is in the Nebraska Service Center. I have read on other threads that this is something new for 2018? I wish everyone luck and hopefully we can move on to the next part quickly!!!😉😀 Wavier received 2/12/18 Receipt received 3/6/18
  2. Hello everyone, This is my first time on a forum like this and with so many people on a similar journey like myself, I figured I should make an account hoping some of you can offer some insight/relief. I was born in Canada and currently living in Canada and my wife is a US Citizen living in the US. We filed our I-130 (US Citizen filing for a spouse) and got our receipt notice on September 30, 2020. When I use the online case status check, it says "On September 30, 2020, we received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXXXX, and mailed you a receipt notice or acceptance notice. It is being processed at our Nebraska Service Center location." The latest status of the case has been "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed" since September 30, 2020. I checked the processing time and it says 2-7 months at Nebraska and I can submit a request (as of today) for anything submitted on October 2 2020, or earlier. When I go to submit an e-Request it says that my case is still within the processing time and I'm not sure why. I know everyone's case is specific and different but, reading a bunch of threads on here, I felt really concerned knowing many of you have gotten at least some updates even if it's not an approval. Somebody mentioned a "Touched" date that you can see when you login to USCIS and mine is still at September 30, 2020. Can anyone suggest anything?
  3. Calling out all LIN(Nebraska) filers? How long do you wait to receive any update about biometric?
  4. We have been waiting since Feb 25th (PD) we got Nebraska. Our case went outside of processing two weeks ago, finally got a call back from tier 2 officer. He said our case was transferred in April to California. We asked why we had not received transfer notice or any update and they said its due to staffing issues and shortages. We have already been waiting for 10 months for our NA02 and now have the possibility of waiting another 8.5 months, I cannot take much more of this. They told us our case had not been actively reviewed yet, just transferred. So no one has even looked at it! We are perfect model citizens. No criminal records, never lived in other countries, no medical issues, both have great education and salaries. It makes no sense to me!! I try to compare but its so heartbreaking to see people months behind you get NA02 or embassy appointments within 6 months. Has anyone had success with contacting a senator for help? I am thinking to leave the UK and enter on ESTA and stay the legal 90 days just so we can be together. Does anyone know if this would affect my i130? I would obviously be quitting my job. Does it look bad if you are unemployed? Is filing for AOS an option? Any advice appreciated.
  5. Filed October 4th. Receipt for payment lists Potomac as the assigned Processing Center, however, when checking case status online with Case Number, it states that our case is being processed by the Nebraska service center. Has anyone else experienced this, and could anyone tell me why they're different? The approximate case times vary an average of 4 to 6 months between these two centers. Don't want to our hopes up about which one we are assigned if it is the opposing one. Thank you!!!!
  6. Hello, Wondering if anyone has some advice. I'm currently London based and husband in US, we filed for i130 in Feb and are awaiting NOA2. VJ timeline and our immigration lawyer both say late October/ early November looks like when we might receive NOA2 (I know nothing is concrete). I'm sure people have been through this before, but I'm debating when the right period will be to hand in my resignation at work (my notice period is 3 months). From what I have read from other UK filers now the London embassy is reopening the NVC stage, medical and interview are moving quite quickly. Any thoughts?
  7. I'm getting frustrated. How long do we have to wait for approval after USCIS received the response to RFE. Been 3 three weeks and the case status haven't changed. Mind you, the RFE was only passport pic of the petitioner. 😣
  8. Hi all, Has anyone else filed a 129f for a K3 in Nebraska this month ?
  9. I can't find a thread with this topic so I started one. Last September 2017 , we filed a petition for my mom to become PR, case was sent to TEXAS Service Center, it only took us 6 months to wait for USCIS to approve my petition, My mom is here in the US already. Last August 2019, we also filed a petition for my husband's mom to come to US and expecting to get the NOA2 next month, but case was sent to NEBRASKA Service Center. I did a reserach, and it says there the processing time for I130 in Nebraska is about 12 to 19.5 months, why it's longer? Does anyone of you whose case was sent also to Nebraska? Does it really take a year or more to wait for NOA2?
