Hey guys!

Hope all is well. Was browsing around when i stumbled upon this:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=1&sortby=2

Some November filers got their 2nd NOA's in 2-3months? How does this work? i dont believe that there are gaps between filling officers for 2 months.. Not trying to raise my hopes up, but a little research kills some time.

Good Luck everyone!

Hmm that's interesting. I've heard of that happening, but I wasn't sure how true it was. I mean, this process USED to only take 3 months, so maybe there's still an adjudicator out there who's on track while everyone else has been sent to clear out the backlog?.... :bonk:

Ooor hopefully they are catching up by a bit. Meaning less applications came in before winter than summer/spring. Just my thoughts. Or it might be one off. No real answer though but the difference is unsettling though

Hey yeah its weird I know some people who actually got theirs within that time frame as well so it may not be so out of the ordinary!

Received NOA1:  March 26

Filed in the past through an attorney (and cancelled later when she "washed out").  I wasn't impressed with what they did for what they charged, so I did it myself this time using the past case as a model and, of course, this website.  Hoping I wasn't foolishly over-confident.

The game, they say, is afoot...hoping she's here by Christmas!

Some are expedited cases. Very rare but does happen.

Dont get ur hopes up that it will be only 2 to 3 months. Plan on 6 to 9 months. There are still some from May 2017 that r waiting for noa2.

good luck to everyone.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

As being a research geek, i investigated those "early expedited Nov approvals". They aren't expedited at all, just got randomly approved a lot quicker. Further, i think one of the couple is Mexican (One of the partners), so as far i see, this just breaks (Sort of) the trend of nationalities that get approved faster.
Seems like one of the people said above, that there is an officer who is doing more current cases, and most of other officers are trying to catch up with older ones.
Still 6-9months is more likely than 2-3mo's, but hey, having a bit of chances (even if its 1:100,000) that it could be done quicker, is better than no chances at all!
Keep ya heads up and be positive. Can't wait to see first approvals from March '18 filers!

Cheers,
P.

Hey everyone, I'm a little late to the party, but March filer here. March 29th notice date on my NOA1.

Starting the waiting game now... I'll consider an update by September a victory.

Good luck everyone!

What do you guys consider the “NOA1 notice date”?

Is that the text,

email or I-797c in hand?
