Marriage visa and baby

I have a question does a new baby or pregnancy help to get a Visa or could it be a good reason for a expedite? Has anyone experienced anything like this or does anyone know anything about it? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated! & Happy holidays!

No, a baby does not help a visa nor does it allow with an expedite.  Could you imagine how many people would have babies simply for an expedite?  Or how many partners would be separated for longer because they choose to not have kids?

 

For those reasons, and others, pregnancies do not assist with visas or expedites.  If your wife is pregnant please make plans for her to have the baby in her home county.  For expedite criteria, please see the USCIS website.

A baby or a pregnancy does not change anything. Your lifestyle choices or poor planning (whichever is the reason for the pregnancy) are of no concern to USCIS. Contrary to popular belief, a baby or a pregnancy is not "proof" of a bona fide relationship. Do not rely on this as your evidence.

Definitely not! As said above, everyone would be having babies! Especially because you have to prove who's baby it is in terms of the man. People could get pregnant by a guy in the home country and claim it's a foreigners.

Confirming with others that a pregnancy is not usually an acceptable reason to expedite.

I concur. Pregnancy alone is not a reason to expedite (severe and actual complications caused by it may qualify just like any other medical-based expedite).

Where are those people that would have a baby simply for an expedite ? Pregnancy is a serious condition and having a child is the greatest commitment ever. Is it really a common thing for people to have babies only to speed things up? I don't believe it.

Sadly people have babies for all sorts of reasons having very little to do with love and commitment.

And we'll never know how many people actually try to do it...mostly because they don't speed up cases due to pregnancy so there's no (good) reason for somebody to take this approach.

The question actually required a simple yes or no answer without passing your hidden judgment.  From the comments It sounds as if someone asked people to give their output on how they feel about someone getting pregnant and wanting to expedite. It is not needed or requested. Stay away from it. Be respectful and polite.

It doesn’t help the visa but it should. I’ve been separated from my son for six months due to this absurd system.

I hear ya.. my son is 3 months old. 

I have to take a 7 hour plane flight to see him.

You both are CHOOSING to be separated from your child. I suggest you each meet with an attorney to define ways in which you can be with your child and continue your immigration journey.
