I gotta say, after we have reached the coveted 180 day mark, and it being 6 months today since USCIS recieved date, the anxiousness is starting to kick in. I was always betting on going 200+ days before any news, but knowing they are so close to starting my date (dec 22), it really feels like the full weight of everything we have been waiting for is showing.

I go on VJ at least 5 times throughout the day (especially during the working hours of the CA processing center) just to see if any new members got approvals today, and I am so happy when I see the progress that has been made.

Hello everyone i have been following this thread for a while but never posted anything, i have a question for anyone who is kind enough to answer. So 10 years ago i got a speeding ticket that resulted in a fine of exactly $500 and checked NO on that one question because that ticket was so long ago it didnt come to mind when filling out the petition. Now my license got suspended because i didnt pay a $165 ticket that i got before leaving the country and didnt have the funds to pay it. As soon as i have the money to pay the fine and get my license reinstated i will do that but im thinking they might adjuticate my petition before that happens. Does anyone think my petition could get denied because of those two things.

The answer is NO. They are looking for dirty, rotten scoundrels and you haven't done enough bad things to fall into that category. :P So, you'll be fine. They don't pay attention to tickets.

I guess I'll ask here as well. Has anyone had their police record mailed to the embassy?. My fiance was told they dont give unsealed police records. He was able to go pay for it and get a receipt but they said they wouldn't release it to him and they needed someone to address it to so I guess he needs to wait on his interview confirmation letter? I'm confused and just want to make sure he gets the document. I thought the only thing that gets sent directly to the embassy was the medical. FYI this is in Kingston Jamaica and my friend whose fiance got his report from Montego bay was handed his and it wasn't sealed

hi guys , i have a few questions about this chart,  i apologize if this has been discussed before

first where do you get the numbers ?

and second what happens to cases from December first that have not been touched  till today. someone posted a chart from November and October and some cases still had not been touched. is this what some December filers should expect as well? my day is December 15 which has the most cases.

Here is what I have learned from my experience of help folks just like yourself. If a Government agency says they are gong to do "such and such" with your document it's because they too have learned that they must do it that way or continue to have problems. I can only think that a police report can be altered or forged and that is the reason for that PD told you they need to send it. Just get the address to your Embassy, I believe the Police should have because I am sure they do this all the time, but they don't have it provide it to them. Once at the Embassy someone will open and log that document in and add it to your record for the interview. Be sure to allow enough time for it to get to the Embassy and added in your file. Two weeks I think is a good number to follow.

Hey all! Quick question. I am NOA1 Dec 12 and have not yet received my NOA2. A week from today I will be leaving home to spend July with my guy in the Netherlands. Should I update my address to my address abroad during that time? Should I keep it here and have a trusted friend keep an eye on the mail to send me the NOA2 when it arrives? Or does it not matter either way since I will likely receive my case number over the phone? I know it's recommended for him to have the physical paper for the interview, so any advice is appreciated!

Are you planning on having someone check your mail while you’re away for the month? You could just have that person keep an eye out for an envelope from USCIS. Otherwise, if you haven’t already, you can sign up for Informed Delivery on the USPS website to keep tabs on your mail that way.

You are not going to need a hardcopy of the NOA2 till the day you submit your AOS package after marriage. So, have someone look out for it, have them open it up and have them scan a copy and email it to you. If it is in your instructions to bring a copy to the interview then do so. But, I have never heard of an Embassy needing a copy but I have been schooled before and would love to know if it is actually "officially" required for the interview. Have a safe and fun trip.
