Comments : Update: After 3 years in administrative processing, we finally received the visa on 6/8/21.

Interview was in September 2018 and went well, unfortunately my fiancé was told that as he was born in a currently "banned" country, even though he is now citizen of a non-banned country, he will need further vetting and was given form 221(g). We have heard nothing since then.

Side note: My fiancé had a visitor's visa interview in December 2016. He was put in AP for the same reason above at that time as well. We did not hear anything until January 2019 when they called him back for a second interview to ask a few questions about our pending fiancé visa. The visitor's visa was finally issued in May of 2019.

Wow CONGRADULATIONS, my fiancé is also from the same Country, and we are also having troubles and are currently in AP. Did you guys file a WOM or did you just wait it out? Congrats by the way

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
