Department of State Consular Affairs Facebook page just posted another status update.

UPDATE: Our visa and passport processing systems are now operational, however they are working at limited capacity. We are still working to corrrect the problem and expect to be fully operational soon.

I think the system is slowly getting back up. An hour ago it showed our case last updated on 22nd July. Now it shows 23rd July. Our appointment was on the 23rd.

It has nothing to do with USCIS processing, just issuing visa at the embassies.

Really? I haven't read that yet. It said it affected all types of visa, so I presumed this would be one of them.

It seems like it is affecting everything because ever since the news came out ppl have called USCIS and were being told that the time frame at TSC has been moved to as long as 7 months. So at this point all we can do it hurry up and wait, and contact the Senators and etc at the 5 month mark.

Dohan, so do you know if it affected all the service centers? I notice you're filing is at TSC. I'm wondering if the "glitch" is system wide. :ranting:

July 31, 2014: Check cashed and email/NOA-1 received :)

August 1, 2014: Notice on USCIS site that Alien Registration number had been changed

August 4, 2014: NOA-1 received via USPS (found out our Notice Date was actually July 30th, and I'm thankful for even one extra day) So glad to be at the California Service Center :dancing:

December 4, 2014 RFE - They lost our passport photos. :ranting:

March 3, 2015: Hallelujah! We got our NOA 2! :dancing:(L)

March 19, 2015: NVC Received! (L) :dancing:

Visas are issued by the Dept of State. Until your petition is approved, you are still with USCIS and shouldn't be in any State Department database. You haven't actually applied for the visa yet. That will happen when your case makes it to London and the beneficiary submits form DS-160, the visa application. Well since you don't have a timeline, I don't know for sure where you are.
