So glad I found this site as we begin this process. What a great resource to find a place with people all going through the K-1 Visa Process. We sent in our I-129F on 12/7 and it was received on 12/9. Got the email notification for NOA1 on 12/15 and we will be getting it transferred to California from which I read is a good thing. Does anyone know how fast on average that the California Service Center has gotten back approvals? Seems some are getting them approved in under 30 days.

Welcome to the board.

You really don't have to look far to see the answer.

Just view my signature line above and below " :joy: "

You can look here as well. (link below)

30 day approvals are not going to be happening for a while.

CSC has slowed to a crawl and this was well before the holidays.

I'm expecting 60-80 day approvals out of CSC for NOA 2

Tomorrow is day 50 for us.

Enjoy your holiday good luck to us all.

Jim

Interesting I just went to the USCIS website to form I-129F

https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

The fee is still $340 and does not change until 12/23 but there is no mention there of the new fee.

It will be interesting to see if USCIS gives a grace period for wrong fees that are paid AFTER 12/23.

I can see this causing case delays as they send out notices of improper fee sent. - new fee is below.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/our-fees

For those who have not yet sent in there form please be aware fee is going up for K-1 and nearly very thing else at USCIS.

Jim

My lawyer did say that was true so you guys may want to hurry file before January

January? The new fees are effective from December 23, meaning it's already too late to pay the old fee. I'm 99% sure USCIS won't go easy on anyone, they'll reject each and every package that doesn't have the correct new fee if the package was postmarked on the 23rd or later. Just the other day they rejected someone for sending a check that was $7 more than it was supposed to.

I believe they changed all fees on USCIS webpage on the 23rd as well, so they have done everything correct. It's up to the filers to look closely.

My I-129F was sent on the 13th, it arrived at the lockbox on the 17th, still no NOA1. I'm guessing things are slow now because of the holidays, so I'm not too worried yet.

Hi! My name is Cassie. Pretty new to the board but I found a question I can actually answer! Woo hoo!

Anyway, I mailed my I-129F petition on the evening of December 9. Via package tracking I was able to see that it was delivered/received on December 11. On the 16th the check cleared my bank, and then finally on December 19 I received a text and email from the Dallas Lockbox USCIS with the official case number and NOA1, which informed me they were "routing" my packet to California. Now I am waiting for the snail mail NOA1 to come in, but my NOA1 is defintely completed.

I hope this helped! God bless you and your love!!

Timeline for Joon & Cascadia:

December 9, 2016 (Friday): Mailed off the I-129F packet from my local EZ Ship & Copy place at 3:57 p.m.

December 11, 2016 (Saturday): USPS mail tracking shows that I-129F packet arrived at the Dallas Lockbox

December 19, 2016 (Monday): Received text and email with a WAC case number and notice of routing to California Service Center

December 24, 2016 (Saturday): Received snail mail NOA1 receipt, which show the Notice date as December 17, 2016
