    Sorry I am so late to this. I can give a little insight. Ghana started Document reviews September 2024 and Nigeria started January 2025. The embassy schedules the document review and it's scheduled anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks before your interview. You have to come to the embassy and present your originals and financials and they look them over tell u to make sure to upload. Maybe update and make changes, and then it's sealed in an envelope that you have to bring to your interview to hand over.

    Okay let me chime in and clue you in on Lagos and what probably will happen because this has been happening alot. Your case will go to the fraud department and you and your spouse will wait and be scheduled at some point for a Stokes interview. They will call her and you both will be ask same questions and they need to match. It is now 2024 it's going on 4 years. No way in America does anyone not get time off. 4 years no Sr. You are trying to demonstrate to the embassy you are in a bonafide marriage. You have a age gap which really isn't that bad. Me and my husband s is much bigger. But marrying first visit and never going back is a Big read flag. I have even in the last 2 years see the CO tell the petitioner if you want your spouse to get a Visa you need to fly here and see them. They aren't playing.

Which means every immigration benefit you got green card, Citizenship is revoked. You filing for the kids will just have them look deeper. Was this same divorce decree from your 1st wife presented with your I-130 filing? Was the traditional divorce documents submitted to the High court or the customary court (That makes a difference whether you are really married). Now USCIS in most case has no clue whats what but you can be dang sure the embassy will investigate and and find out f divorce documents are legit.

    IR/CR started scheduling today they are up to December 8, 2023 DQ.

    Last monthly scheduling they stopped t Oct.13, 2023 DQ for November interviews for the IR/CR category. Please inbox me for further information.

    Just go to ur Citizenship interview. Sometimes their records get all messed up. But I would also call them or get online talk to a live agent through EMMA and tell them your I751 is already approved.

    You divorce where you are living and resident not the DR. And it's so much simpler in US.

    The US Citizen step mother can petition child (It's faster) but make sure they have all their ducks in a row and get written notarized permission from mother. Get papers drawn up and get it notarized at the US Embassy to avoid any wahala. It's still going to take a about 2 years or more to get child here but faster with US Citizen filing.

    Also important point she also can not leave the US or she will incur a 10 year Ban for the overstay. When are you or the father eligible to file for citizenship? This is her only path she can take to staying here legally and getting a green card.

    Something weird is going on it's like all the embassies are like stuck in no IL's but for reaffirms, AP but hardly any new stuff. Ghana hasn't scheduled since February. Nigeria March Like WTH. But Thanks for the info.

    So where exactly are they in scheduling. I mean I saw someone on here DQ 9/28 get a June date. Like what the heck is Canada doing. Is the wait 8-9 months from DQ or what. Has Montreal also not scheduled this month?

    Have heard from various sources that Lagos is open and NVC scheduling interviews for those who got DQ March and April. These aren't reschedules, but NVC sending out Interview letters. So looks like things are moving.
