  1. Here is how it worked for us in Honduras, the pre-interview was about 1 month before the visa appointment. The embassy just emailed us a time. It seemed highly impersonal and I wish there was more notice to it. There isn’t much guidance besides the documents you’re expected to have. From what we ecperienced the medical exam is part of a whole separate thing. It doesn’t matter which one comes first, the pre-interview or the medical appointment. What matters is getting them both done before your interview.
  2. At 40k you're fine. This is a secondary site, but it shows that you need to make around $26k annually to sponsor. You far and above exceed that threshold. Check out https://www.boundless.com/immigration-resources/income-requirements-for-green-card/#:~:text=2023 Income Requirments for Green Card Sponsors&text=The most common minimum annual,is sponsoring only one relative. Yes, you will want to have pay stubs, a signed letter from your employer indicating your position, salary, etc.
  3. I'm posting to those who run VisaJourney.com. Several of the Embassy's now are requiring a documents review prior to your visa interview. The purpose of this pre-interview/documents review is to get your documents in order for your upcoming interview. This pre-interview is required for the embassy my fiancé is interviewing at. If you miss the pre-interview, your actual interview is CANCELLED. I would recommend VisaJourney enters this as an optional field for the visa timeline, and if anyone has questions on the pre-interview, we can use this forum to answer them here.
  4. My fiancé and I are now in the stage where we're ready to schedule our interview! Hooray! But we see that SEVERAL people are in the same position and they are also trying to get an interview scheduled. Has anyone noticed a pattern on when the block of interviews are typically released? I saw one site share for F interviews they refresh every other Wednesdays around noon. Has anyone seen something similar for K-1 interviews? We're trying to figure out if there is a pattern...not just when a spot may randomly open up because someone cancelled.
