We filed in December 2021 and have heard nothing. So we filed for citizenship in January 2023. She had her citizenship interview today and passed. So it was faster than waiting on approval for the ROC.

My ROC was sent to Potomac as well. I filled Jan 2022... that office's processing time is ridiculous! 

We live in Naples and our service center is Fort Myers. Just to give you an idea. We filed for Removal of Conditions back in December 2021 and we were sent to Potomac which is a 24-26 month wait time. My wife just filed her N400 online today. It said the Fort Myers office is at an estimated 16 month wait time. She also had her green card interview right before Covid locked things down. Their estimated wait times were posted to be much longer, but it did not take as long as expected. So I am hopeful 16 months is worst case scenario. 

Potomac has a wait time of 20-24 months. Usually if you had an interview for AOS you will not interview for ROC. As far as your travels, when you get the letter from USCIS that is your 24 month extension to your green card. Do not lose that paper. 

I remember you and your journey. I told you one day you would get the fast check out lane and I would finally get the slow one. It has come true. Our ROC got sent to Potomac which is a 2 year wait. I kept thinking of you when we found out where our petition went. I thought to myself I called this day years ago. Good luck! 

Ahh yeah you are about a couple of months ahead, don't worry you'll be fine you came this far in  good time so hang in there you are about done with this whole mess!!!! Besides the ROC (wait time) is bearable not like the K1 or AOS even.

Somebody thought UK was an abbreviation for unknown..

Here’s how I imagine a dialogue between employees:
Tom: Hey Bill, how’s it going?
Bill: Going good (sips water from a bottle) how ‘bout yourself?
Tom: Not too bad, just finished printing a batch of those… watcha call ‘em? Green cards or something like that?
Bill: Yeah, yeah, green cards. Well good! Is the printer finally working?
Tom: I guess so, I mean… I think there’s something wrong with Rick, you know the guy that inputs the information? He wrote U.S.A on “country of origin” in Word, and now a couple of green cards have that error.
Bill: oh well, no biggie. After all, both countries speak English, right? It’s not like they’re too different!
Tom: You’re right! Oh well, gotta go now. I’m working on a case that’s been on my pile since 2016.

My ex-wife attended the Initial Interview at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City during the first week of December and it was successful.
 
She described the interviewer as "kind of like a robot". She didn't mean that he was cold blooded, but rather that he had papers in front of him and a computer screen, and he just checked everything very rapidly (like a robot or machine),. He may have asked her like less than 5 questions, and then informed her that she would be getting a 10 year "green card" in 7-10 business days. She was told that he was able to go through every thing so quickly, because she was so organized. That was mostly thanks to me, but on a larger scale, thanks to everyone on this forum who ever commented on any of the posts that I've ever made on these message boards. This was closure for me, and also allows her to move on, and better organize her life, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH!  
 
She informed me that she just received the "green card" yesterday. 

We made an appointment for our local office. No way did we trust the mail to send in any original documents or cards. Once we explained the situation they let us make an appointment.
oh and it took like 2-3 weeks to get the new social security card in the mail. 

Our package was just handed to the mail man. It was about 5 lbs. this is what we included. So we will be December filers. Our open window was November 26. 

I think it’s Texas. One of the fastest offices to have. 
My wife doesn’t know either. Luckily she can be a dual citizen if she wants to be.

Oh that makes sense. We are in Naples, FL. I finally figured out the receipt thing. She sent me her prior receipt number when she submitted the EAD. 🤦‍♀️
