Unemployment is not an issue for your ROC
your employer pays into this benefit for all employees/ it is actually called unemployment insurance and he is responsible for this protection for you

but you need to look at your state's benefit page and u do not post your state here for the following information

It generally takes two to three weeks after you file your claim to receive your first benefit check, according to the Labor Department. This may differ by state and may be delayed due to a surge in volume being reported by unemployment offices around the country.Apr 11, 2020

You can check to see if you qualify for your state's unemployment insurance.  Most states have a waiting period before benefits are handed out, but I think they have covid exceptions.

UI is not a publically funded benefit and does not impact immigration.

Unemployment is akin to an insurance program that you and/or your employer pay into and you earn benefits from. It is not a public charge issue. It won't be held against you.
Whether you qualify for it or not depends on various circumstances under your state's Unemployment Compensation program. But no harm to apply and find out.

Make sure to change your location and any other applicable options at the bottom.
You can see what others in your office are getting. Make sure to keep your timeline updated to help others.

There's way too much uncertainty in timelines right now to be able to project this with any accuracy.

Go to USCIS.gov and find their processing times drop down.  You can search based on your local field office (determined by zip code), and the I-485.

Anywhere between a day and three years. Depending on your location and how many people are in line before you.

    Same issue here.
Ours got approved 22/6 and we also haven't heard anything yet, which is rather frustrating.

I sent the birth certificate with the package and they requested the birth certificate from me again as well. I just sent the same one again as it satisfies the criteria they mention. I got mine from union council with stamp and all the necessary details.

Some people have mentioned that USCIS can ask for same documents again. Reason is unknown 😁

Very much State dependent, best bet is to contact a local Insurance Broker. Generally there are usually a few options but for limited cover.

I bought short term insurance after I've go my SSN. It is basically an emergency/accident insurance . It didn't cover Rx or regular doctor visit, but had coverage for hospitalization and surgery. It was on a monthly basis and I think the cap was a year for that insurance, but I think the agent said that I could renew it after a year too.

Send what the RFE asks for right now and if you get a interview then you can fix it then.

I would send what you were asked for by USCIS. That is, the sponsor's tax return and the applicants birth certificate.
You may attach a cover letter to explain yourself if you made a mistake, but I would'n send a new I-864. Just follow their directions.

Thank you so much for taking time to response to my query in such detail and going through the trouble to understand my query better.
I also think RFE could be for seeking a joint sponsor.
I don't think I can edit this topic's heading. I agree it should have been AOS RFE.
  21. Thanks
shawn1990 reacted to Marieke H in K1 RFE
No. The only way to find out is to wait for the letter to arrive in the mail.

If you want, you can go through your copy of the packet that you mailed (assuming you made a copy before sending it), and check if all questions have been completed, if all forms were signed, etc. Look over the evidence you included and ask yourself if it all makes sense or if something is missing. But really, I would just wait for the letter.

Edit: I just saw your previous topic, where you said your income was barely meeting the requirements. Did you end up including assets (and did you include sufficient proof?), or a joint sponsor? Lots of AOS RFEs seem to be about the I-864.

The title of your topic is misleading; I initially thought you received an RFE for your K1 petition, but I now know that you're in the AOS stage.
