We are about to submit documents for AOS, but we have noticed that our DS 3025 includes vaccines labeled by the country of origin as D (not routinely available) for hepatitis A, and F (flu vaccine not available) for influenza. Should we be proactive in getting those immunizations or wait to see if they are requested?

Update: The tetnus section is marked B. Which says (insufficient time to complete vaccine series). Now I did receive 2 doses of vaccine of tetnus, but the 3rd dose is remaining, do I need to get it from a civil surgeon?

Shawn I'm a little confused here. Tetnus is a shot you receive about once every ten years. Have you received one within ten years?

As for Hep A, are you an adult? Such vaccination is not a requirement.

These are the usual vaccinations for those over the age of 18 or are not in the elderly group.

TD/Tdap

MMR (2 doses)

Influenza (when in flu season)

Chickenpox (will be waived if you have a history of chickenpox)

you have B in Td ? then youre good, you dont have to complete the series other than for your own health.

Hepatitis should be A for not age appropriate and isnt required for the AOS

Do you have anything in the MMR and Varicella sections ? Yuna above points out all the necessary vaccinations if over 18 - no others are required.

F for Flu is because you had your medical outsisde of Flu season (i believe this is if you have medical between april - September otherwise you need to have had it done)

Most importantly, in section 2 does it have a check mark in either the immigrant visa completed all vaccination requirements OR in the K1 applicant completed all vaccination requirements ? if so then youre good

Actually I do not had the record of vaccinations I had as a kid. So I had to get tetnus vaccinations as adult, which are normally 3 doses. I took 2 in Pak and third one was scheduled for Jan 2020, but I travelled to US in November last year, so I can probably take the third dose in the US.

Thanks for the info.

Where did you get the medical done for K1 ? maybe contact them and they may have a copy they can send you. But also USCIS have a copy of this, so you may not need it.

USCIS has a copy of this.  You can request it under FOIA.

It is important to keep so you have an (updated) immunization record.   Jobs, like in healthcare, or going to school will want the proof as well.
