That's what I'm thinking as well.. Later today we should have some clarification.  I'm OK with a temporary halt on work visas, but a halt on pending immigration visas makes no sense, I don't see the justification in it..
 
I'm a big Trump supporter, but it appears he's doing exactly what many Governors are doing, using Covid19 as an excuse to restrict our rights and freedoms.
 
 

There needs to be a ban on twitter for all future presidents from putting these type of policy announcements that are still not 100% done and signed.  

"Tweeting" something this important is insane. Stuff like this needs to have total and accurate information disseminated.

They are loving every second of it, all over social media they're praising him and thinking he is banning complete immigration. He always bluffs and we fall for it sadly

Which speaks to his cruelty and psychopathy. He has no concern for the chaos he is causing for millions of people right now. His actions are sick and toxic.
 
A sane and competent president would NEVER make such an announcement via TWITTER at 10pm in the evening and with ZERO details.
 
How the USA ever allowed itself to be ruled by this moronic psychopath baffles me daily. 

this is what comes from a leader who announces his actions through twitter and not through conventional processes.

Trump's most likely plan is to have this executive order blocked so he can claim in November that his intention was to "protect US Citizens and their jobs but the Democrats didn't allow him that" as a political power move.

I am strongly considering to just going back to New Zealand. The job market is horrible, the politics are insane, and a lot of people here are extremely arrogant. I miss NZ even though it is extremely expensive  

Well, I have been trying not to get political here but if you're potentially affected by this and you think voting for Trump is a good idea in November, it's like being a turkey voting for Thanksgiving.

I just do not understand. He says to protect US citizens' jobs. Well I am a US citizen with both a bacherlors and masters degree in the physical sciences and I have not been able to get a job in the US for TWO YEARS!!!! Luckily I was able to find work in New Zealand. It is not legal immigrants taking jobs, it is the hiring practices of the US companies! It is a "who you know" mentality here, not what you know.

I think I need to apply some wine to my brain at the moment.

Time to reopen our country because we don't have to be scared of this virus but we need to shut down all legal immigration because this virus is out of control.

Technically, the divorce is on the process and it will be soon final, so I-751 with divorce waiver( pending) is a proper way. Also, look like you make a mistake when you should withdraw your N400 at the first interview since you no longer qualify for it, then asked for I-751 switch to divorce waiver at that time, but it too late now. Right now, you must submit another I-751 with divorce waiver( pending) ASAP.

This whole thing sounds absurd 2nd, 3rd, 4th hand information and we will never know the facts. If he hasn't bothered you in 7 years I wouldn't waste my time on the mystery. Let the US government worry about it.

Update- Tried crossing the border yesterday and got denied......... I had all of my documents, my husbands proof of citizenship, proof of marriage, etc still a NO

My French husband came to visit me on ESTA before the corona mess, he is in USA with me now. Due to corona his return flight to France was cancelled. Meanwhile his CR1 visa is ready and Paris Embassy wants him to come and give his passport. But I don’t want my husband to go back to France until the lockdown is lifted. I am scared to risk his health and possibly his life for a piece of document.

Don't feel bad. I have Nigerian gay friends IN Nigeria who cannot marry each other due to Nigerian homophobia...
