I agree with the stimulus checks. You can send your husband’s to me if he is going to have a moral struggle to accept it. 

When Joe Biden takes office in January, he has pledged to reverse many of Trump's  controversial immigration policies from the last 4 years.  Here are a few key items that Joe Biden plans to change:
 
Merit-based/Family-based Immigration and Diversity Visa
 
Biden disagrees with Trump's position of creating a merit-based family immigration system.  Biden would instead "expand" family based immigration to the US.  He would allow any approved family visa beneficiary, whose green card is not yet available due to the annual country cap, to receive a temporary visa and enter the U.S. until a permanent visa (“green card”) becomes available.
 
In addition, Biden would support legislation that: 
 
Expands the definition of “immediate relative” beyond spouses; minor, unmarried children; and parents of U.S. citizens to add spouses and children of green card holders, exempting them from caps; and  Allows parents to bring their minor children with them at the time they immigrate into the U.S.  
Biden would also continue the Diversity Visa program, stating it brings needed diversity.
 
"Dreamers" and Pathways to Citizenship
 
Biden believes that Dreamers and their parents should have a roadmap to citizenship through legislative immigration reform. When he enters office he  will remove the uncertainty for Dreamers by reinstating the DACA program, and he will explore all legal options to protect their families from inhumane separation.
 
Public Charge
 
Biden would reverse Trump’s public charge rule. He believes the rule runs counter to American values and the history of the nation.
 
Reversing Travel Bans
 
On Day One of his presidency, Biden intends to rescind Trump’s travel bans on travelers from 13 countries, most of them either majority-Muslim or African nations.
 
Skilled Workers
 
Biden supports reform of the H1-B system including increased alignment to the current workforce.  Once reform is complete, he plans to expands the number of high-skilled visas.
 
Refugees
 
Biden supports raising the annual allotment of refugee admissions to 125 thousand from around 15 thousand under President Trump.
 
Mexico Border Wall
 
Biden plans to immediately stop diversion of US Defense funds for the border wall, effectively stopping its expansion.  Trump will immediately prioritize reunification of "lost" children from asylum camps with their parents.

Wasn't anything difficult; just the standard security questions, names and birthdates, how we met stuff, and one or two other things.

Cliff notes version: interview was today and we are finally approved!!!!
 
Fingers crossed AP goes by quickly.
 
This wait has been absolutely the biggest test of patience, strength and relationship integrity.
 
There are so many people here that have been such an infinitely solid guide throughout this process. This life really is a wild ride.

Hello everyone I got my interview today and I am a resident now. It was wait easier than I thought ( St Albans- Vermont) no one was there. Just the two of us. Super fast.  He asked my husband how we met and how was our wedding and he didn't even ask for any of the documentation I needed to bring and all the pictures and documents they gave it back to me .There was an officer there and a police officer and after 2 minutes of questions he said he stamped my passport and said now you can travel you can work you can study you can do everything. I got a temporary greencard because I have been married less than 2 years. I also asked about changing my last name so I did it and my green card is going to be with my husband last name. So happy. Good luck to everyone 

Guys, my status just updated and my interview was scheduled!! Waiting for a letter in the mail!

Well whoever comes back here to check out the thread Sarge here giving my last update and bringing up the rear. My fiancee has just received her visa so visa is on hand. I'm just waking up here so bear with me my eyes are still glued shut partially lol, but anyway ticket is booked for Thursday August 29, 2019 we made it just in the nick of time since her visa expires September 27th.
 
I think I'm the last original member of the thread to be approved and get visa. I'm not going to say this has been a great journey, but just say it's been real and I have learned alot, not just about the K1, but about immigration in general. For all those anywhere any thread having difficulties don't lose sight of the prize, don't jump ship. With this final post here in May 2018 K1 Filers, I have lived up to my statement I made to you all back in May 2018 that I was going to turn off the lights....so here I am turning off the lights now. it's been real looking forward to the next steps.

It took us a bit to get added to bank accs without an snn. But, we managed to do it easily at Wells Fargo. It took us a bit to get added to his main chase acc however, went to a few branches but then eventually we did. We added me to his chase visa card online as an authorized user without an snn as well.
 
Besides that, private health insurance is easy and can be done without an SNN. You could also try life insurance which can be pretty low a month depending. 

Letter came today, interview scheduled for 9/5!

I know the feeling, I had to watch many others that filed months after me get NOA 2 approvals, schedule interviews etc while I was still waiting.  So we are definitely counting our blessings that something finally moved quick for us. Unfortunately that's how this process seems to go but I also think it's because the interviews are scheduled according to your state and some wait times are just longer than others. 

Thanks, me too! Yes, I'm ready to be done with this for awhile and just live life without worrying with immigration stuff lol

Hey Guys, status just changed to "interview was scheduled". Woooohoooo. Changed yesterday to "Ready to be scheduled for interview" and today to interview scheduled. (NY Queens office)

Our status changed last Wednesday saying that it was ready to be scheduled for an interview. Then on Friday the status had updated to interview has been scheduled and letter sent. So now we're just waiting on the letter, not sure how long that will take.

Yes, I was actually surprised and very happy!! Biometrics were done 6/17.

Don’t feel bad!! You are so close! Many of us have heard nothing and you’ve already had your interview and passed! You are there! Just one more tiny hurdle. I would love to be in your shoes...but happy for you!

Hi May 2019 AOS fillers! I expedited my EAD due to financial loss and I was given a job offer from the nursing home where I am volunteering at. Today, they approved it and will produce my card. On the same day, my AOS case changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview. 
 
I am one of the people here who don't have SSS because the local office didn't give me one. It was so frustrating. So, I decided to volunteer and put my mind to anywhere else aside from thinking about the process. And it worked! 
 
As I always say, God made us to be here with our husband. Everything will go well because he is looking down on us. It is a long process but God is with us in this journey. 

Lol me too! That would be really nice. I'm praying for a miracle. My husband is so ready to get out and work. Yes, we knew not working was part of the K1 process but it doesn't make it any easier.
