My window for N400 opened up on December 4th. I am almost done with filling the application and will be submitting it soon (probably today). I think we should be good with only 2020 and 2021 taxes. I also included my husband's 2019 taxes because he filed jointly with me even tho I had no income and wasn't living here yet.
By the time we get an interview scheduled we should be able to take 2022 taxes with us to the interview. But I am definitely taking advantage of the 90 days early filing window.

I just filed last night and got a notice and biometrics waiver today. Filing based on being LPR and married to US citizen for 3 years. Still waiting for ROC interview as well (filed April 2021). I'm hoping it won't take too long as it seems my local office is pretty quick. Good luck everyone!

I applied online yesterday. It has been 12 months since I applied to I-751, and my processing center has an estimated time of about 25 months. So I hope n-400 will speed up the process, and I can forget about USCIS after that.
I got my biometrics waiver 10 minutes after applying. Right now the case status says "Case is actively reviewed". Well, the waiting game has started.

Oh gosh, thank you. The N400 papers didn't say squat about me having to be there. Well, I guess I'm going after all! ♥ VisaJourney saves the day again!

Your time  line says RoC hasn’t been approved.  If you don’t go with your husband expect RFE or denial.

We filed on 11/6/22. Got notice of interview for 12/16/22 today. Holy #######.

I guess I don’t have to go with my husband? Kinda disappointed, but thrilled all the same!

You can check your local office processing times at the link below.  But those estimates are widely proved to be unreliable.  If your mom's application was submitted 4 weeks back, you might want to check the October thread since that is likely the month of your submission.

I'm back on this hamster wheel again.  Submitted my N400 application on 11/2/22 and literally within 10 mins of submission, the biometrics reuse notice appeared in the documents section.  Thankful that I don't have to make a trip to the ASC for that.  Now the wait begins for interview date.  The estimated completion time for my case went down from 19 months (after submission) to 9 months after the bio reuse notice appeared; though I know this estimate means absolutely nothing.

Yeah my window opens on 22 December though I need to research if I actually need 3 years worth of taxes since I only haven't filled yet for the current one (so I only have for 2020 & 2021)

U need to face the facts and understand the following:
    1. you may care about him and love him BUT he no longer feels the same about u
    2. women/even men have been seriously hurt by people they love
    3.  sending u a link to what happened to a Moroccan woman who loved her husband and wanted to work on the marriage and wouldn't stay in shelter like we all told her to

She doesn't need all that for Immigration. Lord you are asking her to risk life and limb for what a green card. It's not necessary. People self file for Removal of conditions without abuse everyday with no issues.

I know you appreciate what everyone has said but waiting until independent may result in you dying.
If your husband never before showed an ounce of this behavior when you guys were dating and in the marriage then this behavior is an explosive one and one that lead to him killing you.  Also if he has shown you hints of this in the past such as getting aggressive and punching walls or grabbing you when angry, it means he was showing you what he's capable of.  If you were my family member I would be saying the same thing because your life is worth so much more than trying to walk on eggshells to get to independence because you may not live to enjoy the independence.

Lifetime, ID, Oxygen and True Crime has so many stories like yours and we know they don't end well.

Sorry for being blunt but I work in healthcare and have seen abuse and women who are scared to say a word. So please take my advice and run for your life.

Look, we all know we care about your husband. That is not the question here and that is not what is at stake. He has already hurt you and will continue to do so the longer you stay near him. This is a fact: you are in an abusive marriage and your husband is abusing you. Abusers kill their victims. That is literally the position you are in now: you are at risk of serious bodily injury and even death. Nobody is going to encourage you to stay in this marriage and this situation. Nobody is going to take back what we said about getting out of the house, filing a police report and talking to lawyers. We are going to keep saying that because if you do not do these things now, you will be left even more stranded than you are now. It is ultimately your choice how to handle it but you are the one who keeps saying you are confused and scared and we're the ones giving you the information that you need to help yourself.

I appreciate everyone’s responses, thank you very much. I feel the situation is really difficult at the moment for me, I am going to try my best to become completely independent as quickly as I can. I’m in the process of getting my driver’s license here in the US, so that is the first step for me.

As for what is going to happen to our marriage, I have no idea at the moment. I am unsure and confused about everything.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Please gather as many important documents as you can, and contact the police. He has damaged your property and knowingly physically hurt you. This is domestic abuse/violence and you do not have to accept this in order to remain in this country!

Get a police report, get to a womens' shelter for the short term (the police can help with this and also escort you home collect more of your belongings safely). Your primary goal right now should be to make sure you're safe from any escalating violence.

You don't need his approval to remain a permanent resident. He can't revoke anything. You can file Removal of Conditions without him. The only thing he can take from you is your life.

If I recall clearly, somewhere during the immigration process, you were give a leaflet about abuse or something like that.

This is a real issue that keeps coming up over and over again.
Get that leaflet, read it carefully. It may be brief but there is info there to start you of.

In my opinion, if things have gotten this far, it will take a miracle to get your marriage on the right track again.
Let him do his worse. move on with your life.
