Now we have the AOS ahead! And still waiting for the SSA to give me a number, it went for manual verification and it has been more than a month now...
 
 

@Greenbaum I would like to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your assistance, diligence in responding in a timely manner, and always providing top quality (hilarious) responses.  It has been over a year and a half going through this process for us with tons of bumps, mistakes and all out burst of tears. However, every time we got down we looked to a higher power and knew that things would work out according to plans. We were issued the visa today and my fiance can finally meet his 8 month old son for the first time and my heart is so heavy.  I thank you to all of you who have posted and responded as I have sometimes just been behind the scenes reading others experiences and trying to keep my head above water.

Well, got NOA1's for AoS, EAD, AP. Moved to AoS threads.
Anyone, who needs help with AoS, i'll help out with what i know  
Telling right now:
Once you have entered USA, next day go to Social Security Office and apply for card/number. Bring printed out I-94, Passport, SS-5 filled out. You are eligible for SSN right away (no need to wait 14 as everything now is electronic). It'll take 2-4 weeks (us took exactly 4weeks with christmas and NYE), BUT you'll be some steps ahead. If you'll marry first, they won't issue SSN before EAD.
Arrival->SS office->marriage-> SS office update name->AoS, EAD, AP.

The same website you track it when it’s not in the embassy https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ you have to go to  the immigrant part then to check my visa status and put your number that will start with MDD.😁

Banks will need a SSN. Now it works differently for each bank but we are at Wells Fargo and they put my wife on with the temp SSN and when she had her green card with her new name and also the SSN with her new name they wanted her to return to show proof for the finality of created the addition of her to the account. Was simple. Check with your bank.

Well folks she is finally home September 27th, 2019.  I want to say thank you to all who helped me achieve this.  There are too many to name.  But i will not forget the effort it really does take a village to raise child.
 
Marriage will take place in April time frame...and subsequent to that...AOS, Advanced Parole and the like.

You can.  Get a different SS clerk next time and bring in your US fiance to browbeat him/her to submission.
 
Round-file him/her with the idiot who told me I couldnt apply for a replacement SS card while I’m in another state.  
I left her in tears of frustration (there is no better feeling than leaving a pompous government employee in her place) and got my application in at the same time.  It was great.

Dont apply for EAD until AOS.  It takes minimum 90 days for the work authorization (closer to 180 days currently) and would only be valid until the i-94 expires at the 90 day mark.  Its a waste of money.  
Do apply for SSN as soon as you arrive in passport/visa name.  Dont wait until after marriage.  SSA employees arent the brightest as seeing outside the box.

I want to book her flight for Saturday so bad.  But I'm being smart and not doing it.  I'm hearing Bogota takes 2-3 days after Issued.
