vnvy reacted to Chris Duffy in Strong ties to home country - meaning ...
Not at all
I have seen my wife relatives and friend with strong ties and get denied, and I have seen others with identical ties and get approved.
No Rhyme or reason, Had a US Citizen do a letter saying he would take care of all expenses and boom approved for a herd of people from Philippines. Figure that one out

vnvy reacted to SusieQQQ in My interview was ONLY around 3-4 minutes? Good or Bad! + Requested a 221 (g)
You’ve been in a relationship 11 years and only met 4 times? Wow, that must have been tough. He didn’t ask about that?
Anyway you said “he said that it will be approved after I turn in the required documents“ which is the kind of thing a CO says when it’s just a document outstanding but the case looks fine. Of course nothing is guaranteed till the visa is printed. Good luck.

Seems more questions than I was asked.

vnvy reacted to Ben&Zian in CR1 Denied and Possible Revocation
Understand, we here are not insinuating a fraudulent marriage. But as mentioned, look at it how the CO sees it. Seems "convenient"... and you would be amazed what people will do to "fake" something. They have seen it hundreds or times I am more than sure. Even the most extravagant wedding doesn't mean much to them other than the family is willing to spend a lot of money on it. I know it's Indian tradition to have a large wedding celebration, but to the CO that's just money spent. People will pay thousands to a human trafficker to get someone into a country so.. again not comparing those or saying that is the case, but the CO needs concrete proof it's legit not just a fancy wedding party.
Others have asked also about the specific time line of your meeting, proposal/marriage... that can also shed light on why the embassy feels this way about your marriage.

vnvy reacted to britishandusa in Withdraw and refile new
From what you're telling us, this would be your 4th K1 visa even though 2 months ago, you had another K1 visa at NVC.
Personally, I'd take it very slow with this next relationship. Get to know this person before you start the immigration process. It is fishy to USCIS that you're constantly filing K1 visas.

vnvy reacted to Roel in Withdraw and refile new
So since your ex was approved already, how do you know if she didnt arrive in the US?
All your "fiances " are from the same country...? I mean good luck and everything, but look at this from USCIS perspective. And your last ex was only approved few months ago.. and you already sponsoring a new girl? Looks like you're just bringing in one woman after another...
Maybe they to take some time to be single before bringing in another girl you probably barely know...

vnvy reacted to aaron2020 in An illegal immigrant's journey to naturalization
Get over it.
Committing a crime would result in getting their naturalization applications denied. Apparently, the US Government did not find any crime preventing them from naturalizing. Furthermore, being undocumented is not a crime, it's a civil offense - not criminal.

If you want to go to Ghana to live there, then rock on with their laws about polygamy.
If he wants to come to the US to enter into a polygamous marriage, then he will be playing by our laws where polygamy is illegal.
Once again, what happens in Ghana, stays in Ghana. What happens in the US is what going to get you in trouble.

vnvy reacted to HonoraryCitizen in Advance Parole Fear 😨 of Overstay
my thoughts to you is to do what gives you peace of mind. The fact of the matter is based on what you’re telling us here, you reasonably have nothing to fear concerning being denied entry back into the USA. The days of being denied reentry in advance parole due to a previous overstay are over. The rules were changed in 2011.
However no matter how much we reassure you, if you know you’re still going to be worry and be scared, don’t do it. You’re the only one who knows yourself best.
I wish you the best, no matter how you decide.

vnvy reacted to JFH in b2 cancelled without just cause. any options?
Yes the way to spend time getting to know someone’s family is to clean houses! Absolutely! Of course that’s how we all spend time with our spouse’s families! 😂 You couldn’t even make this stuff up.
So I was right that she couldn’t finance the vacation without needing extra income so she had no right to be here. Why was she coming for so long if she couldn’t afford it? Why would she risk something illegal so that she can stay for 70 days? Why not just come for a week?

vnvy reacted to JFH in b2 cancelled without just cause. any options?
Only USCs are guaranteed entry into the country. Everyone must ask permission and hope that the permission is granted. On this occasion, it was not granted. Their house, their rules. Just as you have the right to refuse a stranger admission into your home. You don’t even need to give a reason. She was at least given a reason which is more than someone would get from me if they showed up at my front door and were not welcome.
The fact that that she asked you about “cleaning houses” strongly suggests that she couldn’t afford to finance the “vacation” without some form of work (not permitted) and also was not here “just to visit”. It’s not normal to want to clean other people’s homes on vacation. Call me old fashioned but my vacations are about relaxation away from work. Not scrubbing someone else’s bathroom. If that’s a vacation, I’ll stay at the office, thank you.

He asked about a k1 for the Brazilian friend in May last year and is now asking about k1 for this latest Colombian lady. I didn’t read the other thread to find out if k1 was mooted for the Venezuelan lady too?
”can’t a guy have friends” 🤣 sure, they don’t usually plan to get engaged regularly to different ones though.

Multiple accounts is a violation of the TOS on VJ. Get ready for mods to fix that.

vnvy reacted to John & Rose in K1 Process - Administrative Processing
First, don’t believe him if he says he was part of the team that spearheadsed DHS. Maybe he was but it sounds more like a sales pitch than the truth.
Let us know where you are in the journey. We can get you through this. I wouldn’t do anything about the lawyer except move on and take this into your own hands. In my few years here I have only heard of one lawyer that actually helped and hundreds that either simply slowed the process down or outright hurt the filers.
If you do do decide to file a complaint, do it after you get through the process. There is no reason to add more stress to this journey.

vnvy reacted to Greenbaum in K1 Process - Administrative Processing
I believe that is not true. All visa's are produced there in country and applied to the passport and returned to the beneficiary for the completion of his/her travel to a POE in the USA.
-
vnvy reacted to Greenbaum in K1 Process - Administrative Processing
The visa preparations can take 5 min. There are only two ways to look at this, one he has a visa in the passport and you are good to go or they have made a decision and you are facing denial with a returned passport. No one can say for sure which that it is. I can't honestly say which that it is.

vnvy reacted to Going through in How to marry morocco man?
Tell him you wish to move to Morocco to be with him instead. Two possible responses:
1) He's truly in love with you, doesn't even blink twice at your words, and starts talking about the possibilities of you moving instead.
2) He immediately talks about how the USA would be so much better, and comes up with every excuse why he should be the one to move.
The second response means he's in love with your country, not you.

vnvy reacted to geowrian in K1 Visa denial concerns
That's up to you, but it sounds like you don't have anything complicated in your case. As such, you should be fine to DIY.
Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide
Be careful with this...don't send any photos or other evidence that may incorrectly make the IO or CO think you already got married. Keep it informal.
