Abcd1234 got a reaction from millefleur in Done with immigration for now😊
Got my asylum, got green card and citizenship afterwards, got married overseas, wife got gc and eventually citizenship, filed change of status for my visiting parents, both got greencards.
Took about a decade for all this, long journey, finally seems to be over.
This forum has helped me a lot, there are some very good people here who help.
Started business, expanding it every year, may USA 🇺🇸 stay to be no. 1 country in the world in terms of gdp, and all. I have gone from zero to almost hero.
God bless America 🇺🇸

Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
Put 1 for your wife.
Your wife, if you file joint taxes, will have to fill and sign I-864A..That's what part 5 (3) is for. Part 5 (3) serves a totally different purpose. I've always read it to be "talking to" joint sponsors so that if a JS has a spouse, it's covered. Confusion, but that's how it is.
Repeat same for your other parents.
It's confusing but that's how it is. You'll understand it later.

Abcd1234 reacted to TedsGirl in I693, do i need to complete all immunization
Yes. Your approved Civil Surgeon should seal the envelope and sign it, giving you a copy to keep for your personal files. DO NOT OPEN that sealed envelope and include it in the AOS package that you send to USCIS.

Abcd1234 reacted to OldUser in I693, do i need to complete all immunization
Usually they give it to you. But you also get an identical copy of what's in the envelope. Send the envelope as is, do not open it.

Abcd1234 reacted to Boiler in I693, do i need to complete all immunization
The civil surgeon will sort that out

Abcd1234 reacted to OldUser in I693, do i need to complete all immunization
I-693 is to be completed by civil surgeon. They'll tell what vaccinations are needed and give them to your parents. Many of those are only given at certain age, and your parents won't need them, even if there are no records. Only a medical professional can tell you exactly, so I wouldn't delay AOS.

Abcd1234 reacted to powerpuff in How to find medical test places?
Only the section that the applicant has to fill, the rest is the civil surgeon
No, they will not ask. They just want you to pay

Abcd1234 got a reaction from SalishSea in How to find medical test places?
So i am applying for adjuof status for my parents. I am told medical reports should be sent along with origional i485 application.
Where do i find those places, and what kind of paper if any i need to take to them to do the tests? Don't we need to file i485 first and then when they want medical dont immisend some documents to take it to clinics to do medical?
Do do i just walk in there and have tests done ?
Thanks

Abcd1234 reacted to Crazy Cat in Aos for visiting parents (merged)
Once a proper I-485 is filed (USCIS has received it), they will be granted authorized stay until the I-485 is approved or denied.

Abcd1234 reacted to GWagon in Would my parents be out of status after filing?
You can Apply any time and yes you can do it yourself and save attorney money. The process is fairly straightforward.

Abcd1234 reacted to Free Man in Would my parents be out of status after filing?
My cousin filed for her mum 62 days after her arrival. She got approved. Based on what you said there was no intent for your mum to stay, you made that decision after her arrival.

Abcd1234 reacted to Dashinka in Would my parents be out of status after filing?
File when you want. There is no 90 day rule. If you file the I485 package and it is received by USCIS, then they are in a period of “authorized stay” until the I485s are adjudicated. One thing to keep in mind, they cannot work until they receive their EADs.
Good Luck!

Don't worry you both are in there sometimes it takes longer than other folks don't be alarmed. I suspect it'll be this week. Btw the notifications can come at anytime even midnight.

One check is fine. Yes, include the biometrics fee. The total should be $680 ($595 filing fee + $85 biometrics fee).

You do need to include the biometrics fee with your application. They may waive your biometrics, but you have to pay the fee.
