Bree2Sweet reacted to Crazy Cat in JAMAICA Interview
If you come with only original documents, you can expect to have them taken and not returned. It is wise to always take copies as well as originals to the interview. It is also wise to have multiple original documents.

Bree2Sweet reacted to Jeanne Adil in Packet 3 &4
some embassies are no longer issuing the visa packet as the info goes into computer and can be read at POE in USA
but some still do issue it

Bree2Sweet reacted to wtrav in Packet 3 &4
In my case packet 3 was the medical. It's a sealed packet that I received from the doctor a few days after the exam. I had to take it to the interview without opening it.
Packet 4 I received from the Embassy along with my passport after my k1 was approved. Again, I was not supposed to open it. It had warnings in Bulgarian and English that it should be opened only by immigration or public health service officer.

Bree2Sweet reacted to <3T&M<3 in I-134
I think OP means what is needed JUST for 134... Is this a correct assumption @Bree2Sweet?
You do not HAVE to send bank statements unless they will help prove your income.. It can be a huge hassle for some, but if it is easy for you then by all means.
Copies NOA1 and NOA2 and NVC letter should probably go with fiance to the interview yes, but will probably not be asked for in being a part to the 134.
Employment Certificate is not required. Pay stubs are helpful, again not specifically asked for but if this helps you prove non-temporary income then by all means! I would send them - and did!
New Letter of Intent is not needed as part of the 134, but YES you SHOULD have an updated Letter of Intent as part of the whole interview packet you or your fiance takes to the interview, just to be safe.
If you use IRS transcripts you do not need to include 1099s or W2s or Schedules. If you are using Tax Returns then YES you need to include W-2s, 1099s and ALL schedules.
And the Letter from Employer seems to be very important.

I think employer letters are pretty dumb unless you recently got the job. If you send in 3 years or w-2s and a couple of recent paystubs from the same place I don't think there is much better evidence than that. Then don't worry about the other stuff unless you don't have sufficient income. I sent 3 years transcripts w2s and 2 paystubs from the last month added I bank statement for kicks. Had zero issues but of course your milage may vary.

Bree2Sweet reacted to debbiedoo in I-134
with tax transcripts (past 3 years), employment letter and pay stubs you do not need to send anything from the bank (assuming income on those transcripts has been sufficient). Bank letters/ statements are only needed if you do not have those things, or if you are using assets in those accounts to meet the minimum guidelines.

Bree2Sweet reacted to Mella in Consulate
You are able to track it via https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx. Select Immigrant visa and enter your case number. When it says "Ready", it has reached the embassy. NVC also emailed my fiance to let us know they sent it to the embassy.

Bree2Sweet reacted to Just Paul in Consulate
You should get a message from the consulate normally a few weeks after they receive it.

Bree2Sweet reacted to Jenny17655 in Da-160
There is no charge to file the DS-160. What you are paying for is your visa interview at the embassy. And as others mentioned the cost for a K1 interview is $265. You will pay that when you schedule your interview and not when you file the DS-160.
-
Bree2Sweet reacted to JasonGG in Da-160
For a K1/K2, the fee is $265. This link has the fees for U.S. visas - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/fees/fees-visa-services.html.
Payment arrangements vary by country. After completing the DS-160, you need to create an account at the US Travel Docs website - http://www.ustraveldocs.com. You'll need info from the DS-160 you submitted and it will create a bar coded receipt that you will use to pay the visa fee. In Vietnam (and many other countries) you bring the receipt to the local post office. After paying the visa fee, the post office will give you another receipt with a number that you enter at the ustraveldocs website. DO NOT LOSE THAT RECEIPT! Once you enter that receipt number, you "unlock" the option to schedule an appointment.

Bree2Sweet reacted to JVG in Notification when NVC sends petition to embassy
We have been tracking our petition with the NVC after receiving our case number which was September 17th. However, we have not received any
notification that the petition has been sent to the embassy. I have also called the NVC numerous times and I have been checking it on line.
We are concerned that something is wrong. Any advice would greatly be appreciated
Thank you so much

Bree2Sweet reacted to Ben&Zian in Tax transcripts
Like above, really for income take 2-3 months of most current pay stubs, letter from employer. Can take tax transcripts or W2's to show/verify yearly amounts.
-
Bree2Sweet reacted to BJ & Christine in Tax transcripts
Should also take, last 4 pay statements, letter from employer.
-
Bree2Sweet reacted to Ben&Zian in Proof of income
W2's, tax transcripts, pay stubs, letter from employer stating relevant employment information and pay/time at company/ect...
For K-1, the I-134 you can use any of this. I supplied three years W2's "(all same company), and 3 months of current pay stubs (6 total) and letter from my employer.
For AOS, the I-864, showed the same plus three years tax transcripts which you can get here : https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Bree2Sweet reacted to Marcelina in NOA2 time estimates
The estimated time is pretty accurate for an average case that is not expedited (shorter waiting time) or going through some extra administrative processing (longer waiting time). Also waiting times are longer when you get RFE. But yeah it helps to have a general idea when to expect your NOA2.
-
Bree2Sweet reacted to Vholde346 in NOA2 time estimates
No. Some people are getting their NOA2 after four months, I’m still waiting for mine after eight months. Some people have been waiting longer than me.

Bree2Sweet reacted to Cristina24 in NOA2 time estimates
The Visa timeline didn't work for me. It past its prediction date when i got my NOA2. I waited 7 months for NOA2
-
Bree2Sweet reacted to Christy&J in NOA2 time estimates
it's not 100% accurate but it's guidelines based on people approvals. it's def more reliable than USCIS timelines.
now, NOA2 is more likely like 6-7 months since NOA1
Good luck
