I also used the I-864EZ for my husband, all though I had the long form ready, it wasn't needed.

as long as your fiance/husband is able to make the poverty limit with his job there is no need for the long form.

getting married in USA, on a fiance visa here are the guide

    https://www.visajourney.com/k1-fiance-visa/

Spouse visa while you are overseas

    https://www.visajourney.com/cr1-ir1-spousal-visa/

which is best for your given situation

K1 is more expensive it is quicker but more expensive, you have to wait for EAD/AP to leave the country, you can't work while you wait for employment card, and that can take 6-8 months after you file for AOS.

CR1 once you arrive in USA, you are able to work right away get a DL right away, and can travel back out if you need to right away

I know you're just adjusting status, but I used the I-864EZ during NVC stage and it was accepted with no issues. I think the instructions state it could be used if the petitioner is the only sponsor and there are no other assets, etc you plan on listing on the form. It's just a shortened, easier version of I-864, hence the "EZ" at the end.

I am sure that it will be finished soon, they fact they asked for the passport is a great sign, just give them the time to review the documents, embassy's are becoming increasingly more busy.

in my husbands case no other documents were needed they handed my husband a 221G marked AP and handed him back his passport, on day 48 they called him to send the passport to the embassy by day 58 he had it in hand again.
    were any mother documents requested?

so they have your passport currently is my understanding.

AP is a black hole and can take 60-90 days min to complete background checks, there is nothing that can be done to rush this. I can recommend sending an inquiry at 90 days if you still have not heard anything.

my husbands case sat in AP for 48 days issued by day 58.

you just have to be patient some go months and months with no answers some as far as 2 years.

since you are a K1 once the CEAC goes from updating as an immigrant visa to non immigrant this will be a good sign.

Khallaf got a reaction from LightSear in Signature on Tax forms & Tax forms not yet processed
most embassy as well as NVC are asking for Tax return transcripts these do not have signatures.

NVC requires them because the file to upload is smaller in most cases.

the embassy will require the tax return transcripts like I said most do and they will ask for 2018, if you do not have the transcripts for 2018 it is likely it will go to AP until you are able to turn them in.

The biggest issue will be whether you falsely claimed to be a USC in order to take up the employment.

As soon as her I94 expires, she will become out of status. That means that at the worst and very rarely to occur, she could be picked up and brought before an immigration judge and be forced to apply for AOS immediately or face removal proceedings.
You dont have to file within the 90 days but you should try to file as soon as possible as it takes a very long time and she will not be able to work, drive (in most states) or leave and return to the US until she is either approved for her EAD and AP or her GC (whichever comes first).
EAD/AP is taking 5 to 7 months right now so that is the earliest she will be able to do any of those things above once you file. GC can take months or years. If you dont file, she cant do any of that. Would you want to be deprived of those things if you were her?

I have heard it can take months, I would reach out to your state senators office and have them do an inquiry sometimes I have seen that a state senators office can give them a nudge to get moving on it.

you have to get an exit paper I am sure your friend told you this, and they have gotten more strict on this, you can't exit Egypt while classes are still in session you are only able to leave on a break, if you do not have the exit paper you will be refused at the airport.

passing the interview is not your problem it is getting out of Egypt when you are not in an exempt period.
you must have a military paper, that states you are exempt, rightfully you are exempt however you must have this. You are only exempt because you are in school, getting out of Egypt is not going to be easy for you if you are a young adult.

you will also need to get a release in order to leave Egypt this is going to be much harder to achieve as once you are able to get out of Egypt you can not return until after the period of which you would need to be in order to be selected.

    I know this from experience.

I am assuming you mean weight in the luggage?, if you have copies and you know you can make more, I would eliminate the copies, unless they are certified copies then I would keep those.

but I would also carry those things in your carry on luggage and not check them.

Never, never, buy anything or invest or plan a head of time. Always wait until visa is in hand. Once visa is in hand, by all means book a ticket for that day or the next, book wedding stuff, but never before hand. You don't know for sure how the interview will go, whether it will be approved or not, or you end up stuck in AP for months. So never buy anything before hand.

It may be tough to wait, but worth it. I just had to rebook my husbands flights from Philippines back home from a trip he is on right now seeing family, cost be as much as the original ticket to bump it back three days.

Once she has her US citizenship, she can live wherever she wants to, without worrying that she might lose her status.

I would not recommend her going away for a "year or two" with just a green card, that's a big risk she'd lose it. And you'd have to sponsor her again and pretty much do the whole immigration thing from a scratch.

only tell the truth on the reason to go to USA

if she has no ties to her country it is not likely she will be granted the B1/B2 visa to visit.

she will need to show strong ties with intent to return in order to be granted a visa.
