That’s strange. I’m a federal employee and under my family plan I was able to add my newborn without a SSN. Just sent a message via portal and they said all good update us with the SSN when you get it.

Ironically at that time I very carefully considered your post as an alternative to the plans my Filipina wife and I had made to marry IN Costa Rica as OUR solution to COVID travel bans.  We still went the Costa Rica marriage route and don't regret it at all but if we hadn't already had our plans made when I saw your post we may well have gone that route instead.  We really had a great time in Costa Rica though.  You were spot on about the lawyer fee in Costa Rica though that was no big deal to us.  It took us just a month which included Christmas and New Years  to get our Costa Rica marriage certificate issued issued Marriage certificate issued.  Apostille in Costa Rica turned into a time consuming thing but that isn't needed for the USCIS, we just needed the Apostille for Philippines government. I certainly don't see our case advancing anywhere near as fast as yours.

Suggest you contact your USCIS Field Service Office, and/or Google US District Court [here type the name of the location of the USCIS FSO your had your N-400 interview] and check how to contact them. In your contacting them inform them of your situation, and ask them what alternative options they have to accommodate you for your Oath ceremony.  In as much, it would be helpful if you would post back here on VJ how they handled and/or accommodated your situation and request.  Buen suerte.    

Why do you keep saying “in your country” if you are a United States citizen the USA is your country so please clear that up as that adds to some confusion. On a separate note if your ex wife is torturing  your son you need to call the police.

Who did you apply for? Have you check the processing time at USCIS for the kind of case that you applied for?

He should go to schools and learn English while he is waiting for the visa. If possible, he should work in a tourist area where he can practice and speak English

Yes, you may submit online unless specifically asked otherwise. 
 
If needed, they will ask you at the embassy to bring originals

It looks like you have done all you could. Provide the same explanation to the CO as they should have come across others in similar situations.

A lot of times it’s something not correctly completed or the browser issues.

Going through each field and make sure that everything is completed accurately. Try changing the browser as well.

Their is really no way of finding out especially in some countries in Africa where records are not kept... If you make your mind to marry someone then you must gave examined him or her properly... Met with family. Think of it this way can I lay next to this person vulnerable in sleep and know that I will be safe?... Food for thought.

If you are unemployed, then your current income is 0.  It does not matter how much you made before you became unemployed.  Unemployment benefits do not count because they will not continue long-term.  Get a job with a salary high enough to support your entire household + new immigrants, or get a qualified joint sponsor.
