Since I Didn’t find any forum for July 2020 filers I am creating one. I filed i130 for my parents on 07/19/2020 and got NOA1 with priority date 07/19/2020. Texas Service Center as per the receipt notice. I hope the COVID-19 and president’s ban won’t negatively affect the processing time.

We are also July 2020 online filers with Texas service center. Waiting impatiently, lol.

Do you think it’s a good sign? But Potomac has longer processing time than Texas.

A lot of cases have been getting transferred recently. Some had been submitted for month. In your case, they already sent it where it should be without much delay so hopefully it’s a good sign. 👍

Potomac used to have the fastest processing time which changed recently, therefore it could change again. Just remain hopeful, you might be surprised that your mom ends up getting approved before your dad.

I understand that there is an EO banning certain categories including IR-5 till the end of 2020 . I now note that USCIS is still accepting I-130 for IR-5 . What is their intentions . Can we conclude that US Govt. will not extend the ban further after 2020  . If so , IR-5 filers can have hopes .

Technically, from what I understand, the ban affect issuance of ir5 visa, but other steps towards the visa issuance are not directly impeded by the ban. Hoping it will expire next year so they can resume the interviews for ir5.
