I had a lot of evidence, I think my package was around 500 pages. I tried to include a variety of evidence like:

• affidavit from mother-in-law
• affidavit from my husband's best friend
• pictures, lots and lots of pictures
• bank statements from 3 different joint accounts
• utility bills
• rent agreements
• tax returns filled jointly
• plane tickets
• hotel reservations
• amusement park tickets
• museum tickets

I took a look at the examples USCIS has on their website about what supporting evidence consists of and tried my best to include some evidence from each category. I know plenty of people here say that affidavits are useless, but I included them in both my I-751 and initial I-130 and had great results. In addition I send them any document that had both of our names on it and tried to organize everything in chronological order.

Yesterday was the earliest we could file the N-400 and we just submitted today. Given how extensive the visa forms are, this was a relative piece of cake! They give us an estimated time of 9 months but I assume that's just a made up number.

 

 

Good luck to everyone who is eligible this month and choosing to go ahead with this step of the process!

Today marks exactly one year since USCIS received my I-751 application and no updates other than "Case Received".

 

To get things moving, I filed my N400 on Monday (Aug 7), the first day of my 90-day early filing window. As @JenIE said, it was easy breezy! I did triple-check everything to make sure I wasn't missing anything - I guess I am not used to USCIS being that simple and straightforward lol.

 

I got the receipt notice and biometrics reuse notice immediately and now case status is "actively being reviewed". I'll report back if anything changes on my I-751.

It is.  When wife submitted, it started out at 11 months.  She took the oath in less than 6.

As long as you had to wait for the I-751, I'm glad that the N-400 was so quick for you!!

@Former CC I think I read somewhere that you included a letter in your N400 application requesting a combo interview since you had a pending I-751 - is that right? Could you share the template/verbiage you used?

Fellas, I have questions.... Soooo...  I have nothing happening with ROC other than receiving 24month (august 2022) and 48month (march 2023) extension letters in the mail. No update with biometrics, no waived biometrics, nothing...  complete radio-silence. 

 

I approached my N400 application window in July 2023, and finally assembled and mailed application last week to USCIS... and I have few weird observations... 

 

1) My online USCIS account seemed to remove all case details... Like the cases /receipts from my AOS and ROC are there, but I can't click on them like I could before and see all the dates/breakdowns of notices mailed, interviews appointment/cancellation from 2020 - like it all disappeared...  The date for i751 also disappeared... Did anybody else experience this? I am wondering if it is web glitch or it happened because of N400? it seems to be like this for a week now at least

 

2) I have chosen to file by mail. But got a text today with IOE letters for receipt, which stands for digitally filed applications... Is this weird?

 

3) I have a question regarding pending I 751, is there a possibility that they will send the N400 to regional field office and forget to send all of the i751 application files/supporting evidence to the same place? Should I follow up on this somehow? or this happens automatically all the time?

1) I think it’s just a glitch with the site. It’s happening to me too and I saw other people reporting it here.

2) I read somewhere in the forum that mailed n400 cases are digitized for easier process, hence the IOE case

3) From what I am seeing in the forum, the trend is having a combo interview if you have a pending i751. I see some folks included a letter requesting a combo interview, but they can pull all that with your A number

Thanks - I could check via that link!

Lawyer was sending my N400 - so not sure if they did mail receipt for 751 or not, but they did ask me to provide one, so I assume they did...  but now you got me thinking that I better ask my  lawyer to provide a copy of everything they sent to USCIS...
