My aged if parents want to visit me and they need documents to prove they won’t overstay. They are in their early 70s and 80s so won’t have any paperwork to claim they are working. I also understand that a letter of invitation is not necessary. Should I give them copies of my marriage certificate and geeen card? Should I also write a statement that I am

sponsoring their stay?

There is nothing you can do to help.  Their cases will be evaluated on the information provided in the DS-160.  Their ages are not helpful since some older parents "visit" the US, then remain here for years until a qualifying relative becomes a citizen.  Consulate Officers know this.  I would not expect success, but good luck.

These ideas will improve the odds of a visa denial.

Have you looked into travel insurance?

How would that help show they won't overstay?

There is no sponsorship for vacations in the US.

My close friends are from Singapore, and their parents were able to get tourist visas without much issue.  The parents are younger than yours but they were also retired.  They showed ties to Singapore like ownership of their home and relatives there (I believe they watch over the grandparents).

When my friends had their first child, the parents visited, but one at a time.  The father came over first and stayed a month, then he returned and the mother came over and stayed 3 months.

The only comment or complaint my friends made was that CBP deeply questioned the father when he visited, pressing to see if he may try to immigrate.  They let him in but he said he would not travel back to visit again.   There seemed to be no issues for their mother, but I didn't ask.
